I wonder where this little path may lead?
I really hope it is to greater freedom from these old fool mullahs!

Iran will always have a supreme leader.

The ayatollah will always have supreme authority.

with the current turmoil in the middle east, iran is going to be the goto destination for holidaymakers.
i kid you not.
although a mainly muslim country, like egypt and tunisia its very lax, western ladies won't get stoned to death for not wearing a burka.
the portrait of the country painted by the americans during the 70's, after iran deposed the american installed shah, still needs work however.
israel still see them as the main threat, any attempt to improve relations, as seen by republicans and conservatives meets scorn.

This go around might be different though because 14 of the 16 seats on the council that chooses the next Ayatollah went to reformers. Does anyone know how powerful the revolutionary guards are? Are they strong enough to "seize" power if they find their traditional support base no longer supports them?

Hopefully something doesn't happen to prevent change from taking place.
