While it is unlikely Ukraine would move to liberate Crimea anytime soon, as Russia continues to decline it might wait until the right moment.

And that moment may be when Crimea wants to get back with Ukraine since it seems Russia isn't doing enough for them.

That may never happen, but that is a possibility.

Well Ukraine is likely feeling much better about its position. Not only with backing and aid from the West but, with China and Belarus defying Russian and making trade and defense deals.

Let's not forget the foreign investment Ukraine is seeing.

Feb 24 U.S. agriculture giant Cargill will invest $100 million in building a new grain terminal at Ukraine's Black Sea port of Yuzhny, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseny Yatseniuk said on Wednesday.

The terminal, near Ukraine's biggest port city of Odessa, will have an annual loading capacity of 5 million tonnes of grain and other commodities, Andriy Pivovarsky, Ukrainian infrastructure minister, said after a signing ceremony.

He used the referendum of popular vote to justify his ulterior motive - blocking any western power from having naval access to the black sea, which is Russia's back doorstep.

I just imagine Russia will stir up another civil war if Mr Poroshenko or any other leader tries anything.

And dont you suppose that if Russia was REALLY hiding the fact that they had soldiers in Crimea they might have tried to be a little more clandestime about it? The Crimeans didnt care about them. It was an expected reaction for them. I remember all the news reels quite clearly. Nobody was crossing the street because green soldiers were approaching because the green soldiers were welcome there. It was a lot more peaceful than what was going on in the rest of Ukraine thanks to violent rebels that supported the new western backed government.

Yes, the the soldiers were sent there. No, your not going to challange an armed soldier to a fight. The point, is that there was no fight and no sudden unusual occupation. There were more soldiers than usual starting from an instant, but it was expected considering Ukraine was under seige from violent rebels and Russia is cut off from defending their fleets otherwise.

If Putin let Ukraine take control of one of the most important defences of their nation, he would be an idiot. For all intents and purposes Crimea was a huge success. No shots fired and Russia has posession. If Russia did not get it this way and they had to do it another, it could have been a lot worse. Lets not kid ourselves. The Crimea is Russia's. It would taken decades of married relations between Russia, US and NATO before Russia would ever consider giving up Crimea. The loss would be irreparable.

The coupe in Ukraine was planned by Russia to give themselves cause to take Crimea? So Russia traded all of Ukraine to foreign interests as a smoke sceen to take Crimea.?

teh DPR i sth erebels. th elegit government in Kiev is fighting against them. the DPR was responsible for the MH-17 disaster. And th e government in Kiev is legit. Even russia recognized it as such. They held a election just like their constitution states.

ALso th former president was under investigation for corruption and ran to avoid prosecution in a hostile prosecutorial environment.
