Great thread! I guess there is a slight age diversity here that just makes it more interesting. This was one of my favorites and it took quite a bit of wishfull thinking (and probably quite a bit of saving work from my parents) to get it but once i got it i was in heaven. Obviously, Nintendo´s game&watch series eventually put this thing in the closet were it probably resides even to this day.

I had a stick and a rock and some mud and once in a while a snowball.

And a piece of coal and an orange for Christmas..........

I was into GI Joe but not as much as some of my friends.I had a Skystriker that I loved to play with. It was essentially an F-14 fighter jet. The wings actually swept back. The pilot (Ace) had an ejection seat with an actual parachute. It had access panels, removable missiles and fuel tanks, the landing gear worked and you could even remove the engines for "maintenance". I spent hours playing with this thing.

However, the holy grail of GI Joe toys was the Aircraft carrier. One lucky kid up the street got it for his birthday. It was huge! The Skystriker was pretty big in it's own right. You could fit 4-5 Skystrikers on the deck of the carrier. As a kid, this thing was insane!

I loved the Dino-Riders! I also had the big build blocks and would build a small fort. Your post brought back great memories! Thank you!
