Yeah, I don't see how things have gotten better after them. Maybe in the long term but certainly now.

Trump is correct on Hussein and the Middle East in general.

i disagree, saddam had to go, and like marco said, the arab spring was started by the arabs

Saddam, as bad as he was, was the man that kept the ME in-check. We had no business to be in Iraq, regardless of what happened on 9/11.

Yeah. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like things has gotten any better after they were removed, has it.

It's worse and we have been as much of a problem in the region as any dictator.

well there you go, i dont believe in a necessary evil, and you do. People that say saddam was a bad guy, dont know what theyre talking about. there was no way he should have be left alive.
edit on 25-2-2016 by vjr1113 because: (no reason given)

Cruz cracks me up , saying Donald is part of the establishment while he clearly has teamed up with the establishment darling Rubio.

This debate is an absolutely absurd sideshow.
Clowns the left, jokers to the right. We are so #ed.

RIP gop

lol. True. But sad in a way. Can't believe it's fallen apart like this. They do have some people with good sense. They just didn't run. Very sad.

Saddam played the role he needed to play, whether we agree with it or not.

The real issue is that we had no right to go in to that country, throw the country in to chaos and kill their leader.

That is not the role of the American military, nor should it be our foreign policy.

Edit: Didn't you try to hit your mother with a hammer?

..And we don't even know if that's true. He's a nut.

This is ridiculous. The yelling between Trump, Cruz, Rubio, and the moderator is a complete circus. Probably the screwiest debate so far.

People that say saddam was a bad guy,

I think you meant to say was

People that say saddam wasn't a bad guy, dont know what theyre talking about

In that regards, i don't think anyone is saying he wasn't a bad guy. What they are saying and what I have observed is that things haven't gotten better but rather worse since his departure for that region.

I can see a stealth independent candidate emerging for sure after this debacle.

Ron Paul?

Wouldn't that be a plot twist fitting of the soap opera American politics has become?

i mean if you dont think removing a brutal dicatator isnt necessary, we differ in opinion.

crimes against humanity

this is a topic for another thread. i wasnt for the clumsy Iraq war, but i was for removing this hitler clone, my only lament is we didnt stop him sooner.

It's not a matter of it being necessary. It's whether or not it was our business to do so.

Those are two separate issues.

Was it our job/right/business to take-out Saddam?
