That's not an answer. Are you with the Party of NO? What "yes" things are you doing?

Are you with the party of "call everyone names" because that's all you have?

I guess some people will be happy to have the government own all major industries.

Does the German government own BMW and Mercedes? I did see a ton of them driving around in Frankfurt, it had me wondering.

You are changing the subject because you don't have an answer. I get it.

Anyway, BERNIE is a guy saying NO to things too.

NO more private health insurance.
NO passing the family farm to your children.

You think you know me?
I believe in so many things that conservatives will not allow.
Do you know what they are? Since you are presuming to know so much about me....

I get it.

You might think that you do.

Why don't we do everything for ourselves? Organize our own military,

Privatized military (which I don't agree with either):

en.wikipedia.org...

Privatized militia examples:

www.michiganmilitia.com...

www.423rdtlfm.com...

deal with leaders of other countries ourselves,

Non government people and organizations deal with leaders of other countries on a daily basis.

deliver our own mail,

DHL, UPS, FEdex etc...

build all our own roads and bridges,

www.forbes.com...

fight our own fires,

www.wildfirex.com...

deal with crime ourselves. Just all us folks.

These are just examples that show that the free market can also offer services that the government does.

Nope, they're not owned by the German government.

Oh, OK...they had BMW's and Mercedes rolling around there as common as a Ford or Chevy is here. I wonder if it's reverse over there...owning an American car is more expensive? Hm.

Read a little higher. The definition of socialism means government owns major industries.

And yes it is a fantasy. More government spending shrinks economies.

Throw away the Constitution then, we don't need it. We gots private industry to fix everything! And private industry would never ever be corrupt.

Now who's talking rainbows and unicorns.

First of all. Government is what's really corrupt as we have seen since it's inception in history. They have ALWAYS been corrupt. Some are more corrupt than others. That's why we need to keep it as small as possible. The bigger they are, the more they own, the more corruption there will be. Why? Because they have a monopoly on the usage of force.

And when private industry (in a free market) becomes corrupt, they don't have any government to protect them in a free market. In a government controlled economy they do. Consumers usually expect good quality in products and services, when they don't get that, they move on to others or start their own. There is no use of force or coercion there.

NO passing the family farm to your children.

I thought it was just increased tax on inheritances?

You don't think receiving a family farm is an inheritance? The issue is the way these laws are often written, you'd have to pay taxes on the value even though you don't have the money. As such, the only way you could afford the inheritance is to sell the farm.

The reason why government is corrupt is because there are individuals who have been bought out by the private industries. Thus, legislation favors those private industries. The private industries are corrupt because they are willing to buy legislation. The government individuals are corrupt because they allow themselves to be bought. Get those individuals out of the government and bring in more like Sanders, who refuse to be bought and who genuinely want things to be better for ALL of us.

Government can serve a very useful service if we demand accountability and honesty and a lack of fraud and corruption. Government can organize improvements to this country on a grand scale, using private industry to EVERYONE'S best advantage, not just to the private industry's advantage at the expense of everyone else. That is what Bernie wants to do.

Yes, but you did bother to peg me as a member of the 'Party of NO'... Didn't you.

I don't have to make it better if I keep you from making it worse, it is a plus in the end.

We, the people, need to do more for each other.

We need to stop abdicating our responsibilities to each other to government.

It really is that simple.

Why don't we do everything for ourselves? Organize our own military, deal with leaders of other countries ourselves, deliver our own mail, build all our own roads and bridges, fight our own fires, deal with crime ourselves. Just all us folks.

I take it you don't own a fire extinguisher, because the fire department. . . right?

If you have a family farm that is worth a half a million dollars just for acreage alone and then the buildings and equipment on top of that..... and there is no liquid money to pay that increased inheritance fee.... the heirs have to sell it to have the money to pay the taxes.

No, I thought they would just raise the estate tax in cases like that. Nonetheless thank you for the clarification.

A little fire extinguisher will only work on a little fire. A HUGE fire requires more than a little fire extinguisher, no?

Problems on a larger scale require larger tools.
