First, I'm tired of people calling Sanders a socialist that will lead us to communism, show me one credible link showing he desires the government to take all ownership of land and business and I will concede to your point. Otherwise, learn these phrases you're tossing around.

Second, no, theres not some better and magical system out there that will bring everyone to a magical place. Corruption exists in all systems. The system we have now is based on evil men running corrupt corporations, sitting on the money, letting more trickle up - the trickling down goes to lobbyists and politicians.

Damm your capitalism, it turned into corporatism.

Just like actual, real socialism, might turn into communism..

Good thing no one is advocating for it.

A good day to you.

Deadlyhope.

Ps, I do advocate capitalism but believe it can only last so long before a soft reset is necessary. Too much corruption, too little actual free market and capitalism.

It's a little early for you to be so tired. It's going to be a long evening before you can go back to sleep.

Politicians sold out to the highest bidder.

I endorse your words but not as a rant, just common sense

Time for a reset

His whole platform states that he's a socialist, are you seriously asking for more evidence? It's not like he's hiding it.

Simply put, you say too much corruption and too little capitalism. Then fix the corruption and free up the ability to compete and reap the benefits of free enterprise.

There is no real alternative to Corporations that I can see....other than eventual gov't ownership and the general left lives on the mantra of evil corporations and the elite. Sanders and the rest may not advocate gov't ownership at this point, but rest assured those evil groups used as a platform for political power can ONLY be addressed be eventual gov't takeover.

In the meantime, offering 'free services' buys votes from the unknowledgeable.

Sorry, just as corrupt as the corporations and not any form of real fix.

Yes , as I stated before in another thread, Who , for a while , turned down running on the Democratic ticket by vehemently protesting HE WAS NOT a Democrat . That he WAS a Socialist.

I will take Sanders for 200 please.

Corruption can be found in democratic socialism as well.

As a proponent of capitalism, I agree there is a problem with crony-capitalism. And that problem is not unique to any one party. I'd say that the initial fix is getting the money out of campaigns.

That he's a democratic socialist.

It's different.

The burden of proof shifts to the people insisting he is actually socialist rather than democratic socialist, because no one anywhere has proof that he wants to run the businesses instead of individuals. No where does it say he thinks land should be the governments and not the people. No where does anyone say equal wages for all.

Getting money out of campaigns?

You only have one guy advocating for that.

I agree, though, that any system is subject to corruption.

I also believe most systems can work, if it's based on the will of the people.

The government and corporations did this together.

I don't advocate we free up anyone's ability who will use that ability to further their agenda at any cost. There needs to be honest businessman in place before true capitalism could be practiced. The corporations at the top cannot be trusted to suddenly play fair and be decent.

Making them pay is quite controversial, though. People want to worship the very entities that have tipped the economy in their favor for the past decades.

He admits he's a socialist. Democratic socialist is semantics. Stop being stupid and admit what he is.

Yes, the usual mantra. Make corporations pay. Th
e dirty little secret, at least amongst socialists, is the corporations pass that increased cost onto the consumers, that is to say, thee and me.

As far as 'honesty' goes, as the ethics level in big corporations reflect the ethic of society in general, top to the bottom, I see no hope in giving that power to a "gov't" especially when that gov't is equally dishonest, if not more so. That same 'honesty' would be required in those deciding how much and how often to redistribute that 'wealth'.

Then again, if we had an honest society, the capitalism would be still working, wouldn't it.

Sorry, I'm not backing freebies under the guise of 'fairness and equality'.
