The good:bad ratio should normally be around 20:1, or 10:1, or whatever. Nowadays it seems to be 1:3. It's not the traffic officers or the SWAT teams, it's the people in charge.

Funny how things work, I often read of LEO's busted for stealing drugs from evidence. otoh I often hear there are no charges for killing unarmed citizens.

How could these two items effect the number of LEO's being shot at?

If there are any LEO's that are not bad apples, they should pressure their unions not to support officers with a history of violence, it's not onlt bad publicity. but it endangers other officers. Corrupt and violent LEO's are part of the problem, not the solution!
