I bet you googled that. I have no idea what Pirate's Cove is, nor does it prove anything. CA is a large place. The fact that you are arguing over whether I am actually from CA after I called you on your logical fallacies around 'no Californians going in the water' is nothing but childish. You know full well, if you are *actually* from CA, that it's a bull assertion.

Thanks for playing though. I wish I could say it was fun.

Yup, he/she/it did. Without a doubt. It comes up in google searches. I bet the poster couldn't describe how to get there, the pathway, all kinds of details, etc.

AND, 99% of my friends from CA don't know what 'Pirates Cove' is in CA.

Back in the day, when we lived in Encino,
Pirates' Cove was a clothing optional beach on PCH just north of Malibu…
a bit north of Moonbeams Restaurant.

This is terrible.

Millions of people will feel the effects of this terrible tragedy for
a long time.

Is there any way to isolate and clean up this mess.

How did we do it after Hiroshima and Nagasaki?

My best hope would be bioremediation like using specific plants to concentrate and extract specific radioisotopes.

Fukushima is 100 times, maybe more than Hiroshima and Nagasaki combined. This fall out has been leaking since 2011, and there are now also hundreds of leaking water storage tanks, as well as thousands of black plastic bags full of contaminated soil sitting unbelievably right next to the shoreline at Fukushima.

Maybe some apologist yes men like Phage here on ATS will show up and continue to tell us all everything is still peachy and fine. Then again maybe not now that even a mentally deranged lunatic would not deny that this catastrophe has only begun.

Oh and Phage knows that I respect him a lot, but this subject is one of the very few that he and I have never seen eye to eye on. Maybe he will show up and update his opinion? ~$heopleNation

Not sure how effective it is but here is an article.

Yes it is concerning, the secrets act is a sure sign of lies and deception...

And all the people were told "Don't worry about it! The Pacific Ocean is too vast to cause radiation issues. Not going to reach West Coast waters."

Only a complete moron would believe that.

Fukushima is worse than Chernobyl. No one will admit it, but it is.

Yup
It is wide open, uncontained and right on the ocean unlike Chernobyl
The damage it will do unseen for years is incalculable.

I believe all governments are complicit in the Fukushima disaster coverup. Uranium has been pouring into the Pacific Ocean since the earthquake... YEARS ago. Ever notice that Fukushima news is blacked out on MSM? We have to go to the internet and alternative sources to stay informed about it. There's NO leadership and no discussion when it comes to Fukushima but there is plenty of coverup to go around.

No. The inherent problem with leaked radioactive elements, they are so small its impssible to 'clean them up.

Thats why the lengths they go with containment, to try and prevent the inevitable. Once the stuff gets out, its out.

How did we do it after Hiroshima and Nagasaki?

Apples and oranges. The amount of fissile material in a nuclear weapon is a few kilograms. The amount all told in all four Fukushima reactors plus the spent fuel stored on site in fuel pools is hundreds of tons.

Its much worse than a nuclear bomb for many reasons, exponentially worse.

For example the bomb is a one time dose of limited specific isotopes, whereas a mega meltdown is a continual series of doses every minute for who knows how long of a vast list of isotopes...

I did a write up on it a few years back with citations to source materials. Its out there, if U cannot find any I'll go dig em up in a few days for ya.

Sorry Ive been very busy. I live in the Vanderbilt law library or state archives now and study law. International law and history of law mostly.

Sigh...Ive got like 100 threads to write but never have time. The struggle is worse than real, its a nightmare. Im trying to fix my life so Ill keep fighting. One day maybe...

Everything is contaminated to varying degrees.

Eat whatever you want.
Life is short, we screwed the ecosystem up.

Unless you are gonna develop new technologies to clean up widely dispersed radioactive waste from all corners of the globe, I wouldnt worry about it.

If you dont smoke cigs, try them. They are great.
Do whatever, eat whatever you want.
Go have fun, but play nice.
Basically...

I cant believe it has been so long.
Everything was so different back then.

We'll never get those days back.
But maybe we can make better days way deep in the future if we think really long and hard....
