It was still moving in the first video as the man who should be target practice was holding it out of the water.

No it wasn't. Dead as a Dodo.

I gotta agree, it looks dead or near dead before it was out of the water.

I hate the human species so much. I am deeply ashamed to be a part of this, unbelievable.

Sad story but the media is always lying. Very likely already dead.

EDIT Although watching again the onlookers are stroking it like it is alive or they have seen it swimming so assume it is alive.

Dunno man. Either way there's worse stuff happening in the world. But you can always say that can't you? Poor dolphin.

Millions of animals are slaughtered and butchered everyday
... with little outrage from the public

This sort of stupidity makes the core of my body shake with anger.
I hope the people involved are smacked right in the face by Karma.
Nuff said.

Slaughtered in a humane way if you're referring to the meat we eat and not suffocated to death like this poor dolphin.

There's a huge difference between killing an animal for sustenance in as painless a way as possible for the animal (even when other animals kill animals for food the kill is done as efficiently as possible) and killing an animal just to have a cool picture in your photo collection

Where is all this faux outrage when kids are being washed ashore deceased on beaches around the Med on a weekly basis.

Yeah, when other animals kill each other ... not as much. You clearly have not watched mother nature in all her cruelty. I've seen docs with wild dogs disemboweling their prey alive and eating the guts even while it's still standing there.

Then there are Komodo dragons who will dash in and bite and animals and then just let it dash off to die a slow, lingering death from a combination of the festering caused by the bacteria in the bite and the rudimentary toxins. Blood poisoning! Nummy way to go ...

Then there are lions who can take over an hour to make on kill.

Yeah, animals aren't kind to each other.

To expand on my initial observation/comment ... Slaughtered by Human Beings mostly after being held in captivity

well cetaceans are like our ocean cousins, so I consider dead cetaceans like dead marine humans, not animals.

I was using the word animals in a broad sense ... so I should also mention birds and sea creatures ...
So here is my updated observation/comment

"Millions of animals, birds and sea creatures are slaughtered daily by Human Beings with little public outrage."

Cool.

However these morons weren't hunting it and didn't eat it.

It died because idiots needed take selfies to post to social media.

Not much to defend.

Just human vanity.
