Haven't picked up the guitar in a longgg time, decided to give it a try again and here's a short song that resulted from it!

Isn't It Funny

Lyrics:

I was all alone for months
And not even once
Was there anyone I ever wanted

But now the hands of time
Are stuck in rewind
Not a minute goes
That you're not on my mind

Say isn't it funny?
How the heart changes?
One moment I had given up
Next thing I have fallen deeper into love

Said isn't it funny?
How the heart moves on
One moment I was over thinking about it
Now I can't just go living without it anymore

Isn't it funny

Your song sounds great to me! I like the guitar work. It sounds sort of Beatle-esque. Book marked the website so I can listen to your other tunes when I have time to do it right.
Thank you for sharing your gift.

May I suggest a change of mindset to something here? I used to teacher guitar and an important lesson to learn is to never say "Ive been PRACTICING" or "Practice makes perfect". That is not necessarily true.

Some folks are completely tone deaf, and some will NEVER have a sense of rythmn no matter HOW much they "practice".

I suggest some positive reinforcement terminology. "Ive been PLAYING a lot more lately." It is the frequency of PLAYING one's instrument a LOT...that makes one better.

To some? All the practicing in the world will just not make them any better...no matter how much they do. So friend, youre doing good.

Just stop "practicing" and keep "playing"...as much and as often as you can, always trying new music and new chords and styles!

Your writing too is good. Dont stop that either! Dont practice writing-WRITE! PLAY guitar!

Best of luck!

noted! I like that.

Playing the guitar definitely has a better ring than practicing the guitar.

And I will definitely keep on writing. I love it too much!

Thanks!!

Not really my type of music, but I would have to be earless if I couldn't tell that it's still a very well composed song.

Good job Honey! It must feel amazing to know how to play more than one instrument and also write and sing. Always proud of you!

Not gonna lie, I didn't like it. It's just not my style. You have talent though, I liked the next song that came on a lot ("I Drink"). The first song was just a bit generic sounding to me, but this 'I Drink' track sounds like you're about 2 years from singing a James Bond theme song lol.

Excellent

Its the old Zen theory. Don't play the instrument...let it play you. Become it. Small example?

Carlos Santana-eyes closed during a solo.metaphysically...who is playing who?

Best...MS
