Please leave the facebook memes on facebook, some of us don't fall for everything they say.

But they ARE accurate. (Well, maybe not the electricity one, but it still makes a point.) So just HOW is Bernie going to get all those jobs back? HOW is he going to raise the minimum wage again? The problem is that when you get right down to it, his "solutions" are worse than what he purports to fix. He thinks "taxing the rich" through the nose will be the answer to life, the universe, and everything.

Total pipe dream. There's not an ounce of reality in those ideas. And yet it is you who "falls for everything he says."

Under Sanders, he wants to make universal healthcare, because people can't do it on their own.

Under Sanders, he wants to make college free, because people can't do it on their own.

*frowny face*

Wrong. Sanders does not want to make "college free."

It involves PUBLIC colleges, and only if one APPLIES.

I come from a poor family, and applied for a PELL grant when I attended college.

Contrary to popular belief, one cannot just attend college "for free." There are still expenditures - books, room & board, utilities, living expenses - it's so much more complex than "free stuffz."

As for college, I've attended and graduated. God forbid we invest from the trillions shores in off-shore havens that have no legal obligation to the American tax system to alleviate the burden of fresh college graduates dragging around tens of thousands of dollars in debt.

I hardly see this as being a bad thing to the American people and future generations.

Look, I agree with a lot of what you say. I do feel though like you are making me out to be a supporter of Bernie's policies. This thread was not to argue about Bernie's policies and what I do or do not agree with about him.

It's not just young voters who like him for certain things he is trying to achieve, I know people in their 60's and 70's, all independent thinkers of course, who also support him ONLY because of his attempt to start fighting the $$$ and powers that corrupt American politics.

Simpy put, this can pave the way for future candidates who ARE NOT apart of the dems or the GOP to actually have a shot of getting into DC to make real changes.

I wasn't even posting to you. I had no preconceived notion of you at all. I was just responding to the OP and the title. I didn't read into you personally. I'm just a guy on the Internet talking to other anonymous people on the Internet.

Ummm... My response to you is I am not the OP, but Imightknow is. This whole election has me stymied! I am angry at the establishment who sit back and laugh at my vote. They seem to think they know what is best. I am a grandmother and want my grandchildren to experience the thrill of having their voices heard during an election. I realize that they are going to scoff and elect who they want this election, but that is going to make Americans even more angry. It is too obvious. Bernie and ugh...even Trump supporters are making this very clear this election.

I see that you completely ignored the heart of the OP, which was people having enough of corrupt, puppet politicians who are bought and paid for by interests with a lot of $$$ and an agenda.

Most Americans are quite ignorant and don't even understand the true meaning of Socialism; these are the ones who get their news from CNN and FOX lol.

Well you are right about most Americans not knowing what socialism really is. Only 16% of Bernie supporters understand that the true definition of socialism is government owned means of production, not just a "generous social safety net" which is what a lot of them think it means (free stuff).

However, I would argue that most of those do not get their news from either CNN or FOX. They are likely getting it from Comedy Central.

Good post.

To be fair. socialism was meant to combat inequality and exploitation by private interests. So the government basically assumes control of production and essentially the economy to eliminate unfairness. However, this indelibly seems to run counter to nature: unfairness is natural. And so to create fairness where it doesn't exist naturally is to essentially erect a safety net. Born with a defect? You're given assistance. Your IQ low and can't compete? Same. Etc. Fairness is humane, so safety nets won't be confined to socialism, but might favor it for aforementioned reasons.

Karl Marx is a big reason Socialism became what it's:
en.wikipedia.org - Karl Marx....

Many people in those days witnessed high inequality and exploitation. Such things as child labor and poor overworked undereducated adults slaving for the fat wealth elite. Socialism was wagered to be better.

HOW is he going to raise the minimum wage again?

I'd like to know that too.

Because ANY wage increases means an increase across the board for employers that are already paying employees medicare, social security contributuions, and unemployment benefits.

As everyone knows a business can only be in business if it takes in more than it spends.

When a business doesn't as everyone knows they either let people go.

When that doesn't work they simply close their doors.

Of course the biggest winner in wage increases is the STATE after all people just love that progressive tax rate we have.

The more people make. The more the state takes in. The more money the STATE ultimately blows on bridges to no where, and 'unjust' wars, and other stuff.

So just HOW is Bernie going to get all those jobs back?

I don't see why a bunch of Bernie supporters don't get together, start their own companies, and offer jobs to the jobless with living wages, months of vacation, free healthcare, instead of demanding others do it for them. Those that do, all power to them. But those that don't obviously do not care enough about income equality and jobs that much, or they would do it themselves.

It is obvious they want as much as they can while at the same time doing the very least.

Bernie's proposals are not intended to make America just another European nation. America needs a balance of capitalism and socialism. That teeter-totter has been stuck with the heavy-weight elite sitting on only one-side!

This thread exemplifies perfectly the absolute fear Bernie generates. I don't think the right can generate eough BS to stem the Sanders momentum.

Apparently the right has written Hillary off. This just shows the power Bernie "could" have.

I FEAR Bernie Sanders. Extremely. Fully admit it.

Question for you, not to poke but because I'm honestly curious. Is there any candidate currently that you do support, and if so why?

Nothing to Fear. Just a guy that want's to change some things. Some good things.

Remember that People feared Obama. Not everything he did was great and he's certainly not the best president ever, but the country is in good shape. That fear was unfounded, just as the fear of sanders will be unfounded.

Maybe he's throwing out false promises JUST LIKE THE REST OF THEM so that he can get into office, if that's the case then smart. If that does happen, maybe we can at least start cleaning house on Wall St and get rid of big $$$ influence in politics. Who knows what can happen right? 101% speculation from each and every one of us on this thread

Rand Paul was the most sane and logical, but he never gets numbers.

For me now it's between Cruz and Trump...and I severely dislike them BOTH.

I'll vote for whoever opposes the DNC or Bernie in the end. Out of necessity, and not 'support'.

If Bernie or Hillary get in I'll renounce my citizenship. Already in the planning phases.

There's LOADS to fear.

Admittedly, I am still undecided. I have met this past summer with 3 Hungarian college students on work visas and found their conversation interesting. One was in studies to be a doctor and he was depressed. Their economy had too many doctors! One was ecstatic about his prospects since he was studying engineering, the other was in politics. My point is that yes, free education won't resolve the issues in this country if the jobs are not there to support it. Balance is necessary, and I can't help but believe in the philosophy of hand ups vs hand outs. Receivers are more appreciative and grow more. Bernie is only a statement politician and I believe he even realizes this. He will only begin the change necessary not finalize it.
