Great OP. You make a great point. People are sick of it. Sanders is different. Trump is different. both outsiders and they both have a lot of support. When will the rest of us wake up?

I see a lot of people on this thread have drunk the talk radio cool aid and think Sanders is the second coming of Stalin and hitler combined. LOL When will you people learn to think for yourselves? Cracks me up. The best thing I ever did for myself is to quit listening to talk radio and TV news.

Bernie has the perception of caring about the people.

Except when it comes to Individual RIGHTS. Especially them evil rich folks.

By 'divine' decree by the socialist STATIST's their rights are of no consequence to the collective.

If socialists put their 'money' where their mouth is they wouldn't outsource it to the STATE by enslaving a minority because the MOB lives in a never ending ID complex of instant gratification.

Why does anyone NEED Sanders or Trump to kick out the corrupt politicians?

SHEESH!

Just kick the bastards out already!

Last I checked, the president has no say in who does or does not get elected to congress although I'm sure Obama wished that he did.

Nope.

Bernie, single-handed, will kick out corrupt congressmen, end the Fed, break big business, raise taxes, make school and medicine free for everyone, shoot lasers out of his colostomy bag, and beat up Putin.

He's got so many ideas on how to get the free stuff to us all, too!

It has more to do with Millenials graduating college with useless STEM degrees and no jobs.

How about an MIT computer science major with 12 years of schooling and having a hard time finding a job that pays enough?

No big deal.

The funny part is SOCIALISTS were the fascist 'right' wingers.

Last 15 years I have never heard a right winger call themselves a 'socialist'.

I have heard it nonstop from people like Sanders though.

People are waking up, but much slower then some of us hope for. Bernie is taking the role of a leader who is trying to give people a glimpse behind the curtain and is trying to encourage a different type of thinking. Independent thinking is almost extinct in America and that is NOT coincidence. TPTB have set up academia and religion for the sole purpose of removing our independent thinking and making us robots who are programmed the way they want us to be.

So you think introducing socialism, making government bigger and more powerful, will end up eliminating government waste and corruption?

Really?

Really?

a way of organizing a society in which major industries are owned and controlled by the government rather than by individual people and companies

www.merriam-webster.com...

I don't get how government gets 'smaller' under socialism.

It's state of being where I don't own anything at all, and I have to work to 'support' the entire country.

Not 'small' either.

Yes. Sure not all of his policies are good. But a big thing Sanders keeps saying is that we need to reign in the corporatations that rule over us- Big oil, big pharma, big food, big media. Also to tax them. Some of those corporations pay less a year (literally) than I do in taxes. Then get the money out of politics. Those two things right there will shrink our government.

Wow, show me where I said any of that.

Point of this topic is people are beginning to think more for themselves and not just how the programmers want us to. Ending corruption and government waste will only happen when people come together and stop arguing over petty dumb sh#t that they tell us to argue over.

No kidding.

Bernie has a plan for free electricity that involves plugging... why even bother, honestly?

What's terrifying is these people vote.

Bernie needs the youth of America to work ... and work hard. Can't do that stoned.

I enjoy telling that to kids and watching it sink in.

How is Bernie going to "reign them in"?
I know he can raise taxes. Congress (the same corrupt congress) would love to raise taxes.
How is he going to get money out of politics? Royal decree?
Shrink government by placing all control into the hands of government.

And just even, even if you could reply to my questions and Bernie is Jesus returned, Bernie only has 4 to 8 years in office.

Then we get another bastard who wants just a little more control, just a little bigger government, and just a little higher taxes.

The only people considering making the government larger are those who continue to perpetuate the myth that "socialists," want to expand the government.

Here in Central, IL we had a decent snowfall last evening. I had to work at 12:00 A.M.

If it weren't for snow plows, I wouldn't have made it.

Socialism - destroying the American way of life, one snow plow at a time.

In my opinion, those who push for larger government are those who wish to implement no-fly zones over sovereign nations and shoot down any aircraft that "invade." The ones who want to expand the police force in order to arrest those damn teenagers who smoke cannabis.

You do realize you're asking a loaded question?

That statement is hilariously ironic.

Anyone who thinks for themselves supports whoever they choose.

But I digress, for anyone/everyone who supports Sanders doesn't think for themselves.

Lol.

Then who? Please don't bring up any 3rd party people, because while I do wish we could go down that road, you and I both know 3rd parties can't stand a chance Yet.
