I watched the entire interview last evening and found it very informative. Brennan talks about 911, waterboarding, chemical weapons and Isil. He seemed very humble and empathetic at the same time. This was a very rare interview with the head of the CIA.

This is the man that is supposed to put an end to Isis. He is very compelling in the fact that he admits that they are a threat & they have the manpower & finances to "carry on". He goes on to say that they are sophisticated and very computer literate....

what say you ATS? More terror doom porn, or do we have a very large problem on our hands?

The ISIS assault on Paris and the ISIS-inspired massacre in San Bernardino, California, share a disturbing fact, no one saw them coming.

Today, the biggest terrorist threat to the United States is not like al Qaeda. ISIS is wealthy, agile, sophisticated online, and operates freely in a vast territory of its own. It prefers to be called the Islamic State.

The U.S. government calls it ISIL. Reporters tend to call it ISIS for the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. But whatever the name, it has the manpower, means and ruthlessness to attack the U.S. . The man who is supposed to stop that attack is John Brennan, the director of the CIA. And tonight, in a rare interview, we talk to Brennan about a world of trouble and we start with the most pressing danger.

The CIA rarely informs us of current events, instead issuing warnings of a political nature.

Be verrrry afraid. The ISIS crisis is coming to a town near you.

Of course, that is the idea. As we all know, the security services and the general public are vigilant, at all times, to the degree that nobody anywhere should be in any way worried about an attack by these crazy ISIS kids...right?

Far better then to play down any threats to such an extent that what...people forget about it?

Not sure how well that would work really, forgetting about terrorists whose stated aim is to cause untold mayhem wherever and whenever they can in the heart of the enemy.

Just a thought.

I ain't CIA,NSA, DERSA or nothing.. But even I can bet ISIS will do something to grab the headlines in the USA with some dastardly deed. Then his friends and other departments will just have more of an excuse to abridge freedoms and snoop in your waste paper basket.. Maybe they have but when have they ever stopped anything unless it was set up and funded by some USA agency ?

When ex-CIA director William Casey said "We'll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false", anything that any subsequent CIA director says is deception and deflection.

George Bush Snr was a CIA director and when he became POTUS he said in 1990 "We have before us the opportunity to forge for ourselves and for future generations a new world order, a world where the rule of law, not the law of the jungle, governs the conduct of nations. When we are successful, and we will be, we have a real chance at this new world order, an order in which a credible United Nations can use its peacekeeping role to fulfill the promise and vision of the U.N.'s founders."

Now Mr Brennan, imo, is simply setting the scene, and scapegoat, for the next false flag attack on US soil, and just like every other attack, it will lead to an usurping of freedoms, a restriction on liberties and a further attack on the constitution.

They are, after all, the CIA - they fund terror, they have trained terrorists, they lie for a living so Iran Contra take anything this bloke says seriously.

Then We can all act shocked when the next "hooded gunman" is suspected of having "terrorist ties" .

I'll really take heed when "They" can figure out if it is "ISIL" or "ISIS" (Israeli Secret Investigative Service) Maybe there are 2, 2 separate groups? And the actual terrorists (ISIL) are getting pissed because ISIS is getting the publicity?

Funny, folks bent on recognition and won't stop until the world is their oyster, why continue to cover the face and hands? I thought only Ladies did that? Or would seeing some blonde/blue Dane look out of place? Or maybe someone of Japanese descent, I mean someone had to deliver the Toyotas™

I think instead of trying to offer an explanation they ought to just type how much $$$ and how many "freedoms" is this one going to cost?

Maybe "We" should put a new Shah in Iran?

How about "We" mind our own business?

You know how I learned to mind My own business? I was walking by the 'Mental Institution' and I kept hearing "13, 13, 13, 13, 13, 13..." I thought I was going "nuts" but I kept hearing it, it even seemed to get louder. I then saw a knot in the fence and My curious nature got the best of Me so I went to take a look. As soon as I got My eye to the hole I got poked in that eye and immediately started hearing "14, 14, 14, 14, 14, 14...."

If the CIA advises us their paid militia is going to attack us, I'd take his threat seriously. Just saying.

Isn't the CIA the very organization many of us suspect of funding/arming ISIS?

Common sense should tell you that having very lax border controllers or none existant as they are in Europe will obviously lead to a higher level of threat..

So we have a well funded group that hate western values and want to basically end the world, we open our arms to these people regardless of what their current situation may be and what they "claim" to be running from, to then let them in with bugger all documents or ID and let them disappear into the ether..

The stupidity of it all is mind blowing..

I'm calling it now, major false flag in the run up to the elections, Shillary isn't doing well in the polls, it's likely she won't get to be at the helm so a false flag is organised in order to either stall the elections or stop them completely with Obama calling a state of emergency and martial law. Wouldn't be surprised if Sanders gets assassinated too but that's going to extremes of conspiracy theory.

I was thinking the same, was going to ask if he admitted to helping create them lol

Yours is an interesting and topical OP. Kudos. Just recently, on CSPAN I caught a "discussion" featuring many high level security types including the head of the Defense Intelligence Agency and they were all talking about the same thing. They basically talk in terms of an ISIL attack or attacks on US soil as being inevitable. And like you, my guess is that the ISIL operatives are probably already in the US and that points to the fact that the US Government actually has no idea whatsoever about "who" is actually in the US on a day to day basis. The borders are too porous and from what I read, if someone comes into the US on something like a Student Visa or an HB-1 visa and overstays the visa, the Feds don't know that because not only do they not track who's coming into the country, they don't track departures. They also don't track visa "overstays". I don't make this stuff up; I know from personal experience of a friend who worked at our company from England who accidentally overstayed her visa and when she realized it......had to fly out, back to England and re-up. The company had to make the arrangements. I don't know how that worked, but it meant she had to stay in England for a period of time, (we had operations in the North Sea) before she could have the company renew the visa.

What concerns me is that at this particular time, we have all these Agency heads coming out and saying the same thing as if to somehow absolve them of any negligence.

I suspect it may be a nasty Spring and Summer season.

It is a given that ISIS is already here.

Trust nothing John Brennen has to say though. He is a bad dude.

60 minutes is run by the same people having the interview... a society separate from American people, running the show.

Of course it's inevitable, the cia are the ones watching everything happen, and the ones orchestrating things domestic and abroad.

They are will be the ones to make sure it follows through. Don't take Snowden's truth for it.. wait and watch yourself, that's what America is good at.

They are the wicked central faction that has gone rouge and taken over America via government, politics, military, media ...

And have their own agenda with other world leaders and foreign powers.

That agenda is not in the hearts or minds of the destabilized American people. Destabilized, because they're dictator and co. Have hijacked and steered American into hell in a hand basket.

Just wait until they put Hilary or Trump in stage as their new-term puppet. She will have no power as a president, it will belong to rouge factions and billionaires behind the seat.

Remain calm citizens of the USA. ISIS is the ally of your government.
This is more fear injecting into people's minds.
All is good.

Brennan has been around for the last 25 years, working in different sectors on counterterrorism and briefly in the private sector between terms, he came back under Obama.

The last thing Brennan is a "humble" he have a trail behind him to tell the stories, we don't need him to tell us how dangerous ISIS is and how close is been to cause problems in US soil.

We all know that America is not as safe as many think.
