NEWS: Minnesota's Fishing Hat Bandit Possibly Nabbed, page 1

The FBI believe they may have caught the "Fishing Hat Bandit," a bank robber who has robbed 23 banks in the Edina, MN area. The robber hit a credit union and was followed by the president of the bank, who called police on his cell phone. The local SWAT team found the man in a trunk along with a pile of cash. Police are investigating to see if this is the notorious and long-sought Fishing Hat Bandit.

EDINA, Minn. (AP) - The FBI says it may have reeled in the "Fishing Hat Bandit," a bank robber who has pulled 23 holdups in the area over the past 18 months.

On Friday, SWAT team officers pulled a man out of a car trunk, where he was hiding with a pile of cash, a few hours after a credit union nearby was robbed. Police said the bank's president had followed the robber and pinpointed his location for police. "We are aggressively investigating as to whether or not the suspect arrested today is also known as the Fishing Hat Bandit," FBI agent Paul McCabe said.

If the man is the fishing hat bandit, he has robbed 23 banks. If he would of stopped after a dozen maybe he wouldn't have got caught. It's time to lock this greedy guy up. He will have to work in prison, no more free rides for him.
