if no one is put in, then the court goes through over a year tilted to the left. at best, they can only hope for a tie. that would mean that the court would rule in favor of the tx abortion law, but it also means that those poor little sisters would lose their appeal. unless of course some of the more liberal judges swings to the conservative side.

if obama puts in a far left leaning democrat, well, it's not going to fly and it will be obama's fault if many of these cases end up being tied in the court and left as being in favor of the lower court's ruling. this to me would be unfortunate, since the court deemed them worthy to be heard and therefore, each side should get a fair decision, not a hung jury.

but if he puts in a moderate republican, well, it will throw the ball back into congress' court and if they decide to wait till after the next election and use the empty spot as a campaign tool to pander to the extreme right, well, then, any hung juries will be on them.

Gallup puts his approval rating at 47% from February 1-7, 2016. I'm sure if he does appoint someone, it's not going to be a good thing.

Hillary is not going to win the primaries Sanders will, now let me make clear that I do not and will not support any of them and will vote for none.

I don't see how he can come up with a billion dollars to buy the election.

Clinton has no problems getting the cash.

If Hillary didn't have the connections she does, I would think you correct. Give me Sanders any day over Hillary. But overall, give me Trump. Yep, I said it...

The same way any other candidate will. Sanders won't directly take the cash, but I promise you he won't stop big donors from using Citizen's United in his favor.

I hope you're right, but I'm a bit too jaded and cynical to think that way initially.

The law is the law and needs to move on, to evolve. Not even the GOP can persuade people that gridlock - in this case - is a good thing.

On the contrary.

The question is, is it worth the chance of Hillary getting the presidency and nominating Obama?

Never going to happen.

I don't know why people think it would.

Going from Potus to the Scotus would be a demotion.

After the presidency it's all down hill.

I disagree. It's almost a lateral move , rather than a demotion. Obama has seen first hand how much power a Supreme Court Justice has. Obama likes power. He is still a fairly young man. I don't think he would be content to live like Clinton has since his presidency ended.

It's actually thanks to CU that anyone is giving him money at all.

The principles articulated by the Supreme Court in the case have also been extended to for-profit corporations, labor unions and other associations. By allowing unlimited election spending by individuals and corporations

en.wikipedia.org...

Labor unions and other associations and UNLIMITED election spending by INDIVIDUALS.

After he bragged about over a BILLION donations.

The irony.

For what I have been gathering around, no money is going to give Hillary the votes she wants, people are not very thrill with her to begin with.

Feel free to disagree.

Obama's next move with be dealing with Climate change, and he wants to be 'king' of the world.

I don't think the Scotus is a blimp on his radar, other than to pad it to coast to the end of his last term.

I still think she's gonna get the nomination. she's the elite's chosen one for the democrats and well, come hell or high water (or a little election rigging) she'll get it...
not sure who the republican choosen one is, thought it was bush, but at this point, I think it would take too much rigging.

I find it odd that they're already saying it looks like natural causes was to blame for Scalia's death. If he was found alone, with no one around at the time, don't they, by law, have to do an autopsy?

Here's something I believe may be relevant. Check out this excerpt of an interview that Alex Jones did with Matt Drudge last fall:

During an appearance on the Alex Jones Show, Drudge asserted that copyright laws which prevent websites from even linking to news stories were being advanced.
“I had a Supreme Court Justice tell me it’s over for me,” said Drudge. “They’ve got the votes now to enforce copyright law, you’re out of there. They’re going to make it so you can’t even use headlines.”
“To have a Supreme Court Justice say to me it’s over, they’ve got the votes, which means time is limited,” he added, noting that a day was coming when simply operating an independent website could be outlawed.

Source

Drudge never identified which Justice he spoke with. If it was Scalia, I think it would be safe to say that the powers-that-be were very upset that this person spoke with Drudge. If Scalia was the person Drudge was referring to, could this have been murder?

I sure would like to know who Drudge was talking about as it may have bearing on the cause of death. The way things have been going in this country, anything is possible. I realize this is just speculation, but I am not willing to buy anything and everything that the mainstream media has to say about this, let alone the government. Too many crooked things have been going on, especially now we're getting closer to the election.

Great timing for the dems, imagine that. Amazing how things like this happen right when they need them too. Breitbart anyone? So right when he was about possibly rule against them in a big abortion decision. Right when they know they need to fill some upcoming vacancies to help their cause in case a conservative takes the office. Right when they are getting concerned about Hillary and that they may not retain the white house. Another convenient death by "natural causes" even though it's too early for anyone to have determined he indeed did die from natural causes. Yes, I am saying exactly what I'm saying. With the Clintons and Obama there are and always have been entirely too many coincidences for them to be a coincidence.

The other question is how many people actually voted for Obama at all. When you have districts reporting 100% of their thousands of votes all went to the same person, you wonder how many of those votes were from people and how many were caused/altered by the machines those people used to enter their vote.

Pelican Brief. That's all I'm saying. This election is looking every bit as contentious as 2000. Hell, the primaries are already. Heck, Trump just threatened to sue Cruz over his citizenship and Hillary is plotting victory with nebulous Super Delegates.

W T actual F!?
