I actually agree with most of what you've said in this post Metafuchs (except the DNC being bought and paid for, you forgot to add "and GOP" because they're both obviously in the pockets of special interest groups.)

The main thing that bothers me about electing Trump is that we already have had too many rich guys in the white house, Trump seems to be saying the only way to be incorruptible in politics is to already be preposterously rich... I don't think I want to set the precedent that only the super-rich are able to resist the special interest groups and lobbyist's deep pockets. That's not really changing the system as much as just kinda taking the long way around it, and I'm worried it'll put us down the path of a "Ruling Class" of rich people even faster.

Also, the super-rich aren't generally inclined to think "Yea, I've got enough money, I don't really need any more." So i'm somewhat suspicious of his whole premise.

I'm not even going to go into the other GOP candidates...

Or Hillary...

But if the only thing you can really say about Bernie is that he's too optimistic or idealistic, well that's definitely a plus for him. Even if we try and fail to change the system from within, at least an effort was made.

Nope didn't miss them. I just think it's ironic when somebody calls themselves a Republican and does just as much nannying as a democrat. Love the moral legislation Republicans love to push real civil rights like.
How about Nixon's last strike to the free market?

Please. There hasn't been a conservative candidate since Eisenhower. Not one in a general election.

i'm confused on your premise, are you saying that having corporations having to pay a fair share of taxes (Or ANY taxes, in the cases of most of the biggest and richest corporations) is somehow violating their civil rights? Well I guess since corporations are "technically" people now you can make that argument, but it's still a preposterous one.

Well, there you have it!

The "worst" that can happen under Bernie is that nothing gets done.

And.....The "best" that can happen with Hillary is that nothing gets done.

Knowing that, I think I'll just take my chances with Bernie and hope for the best.
