Severed feet in shoes keep washing ashore in the Pacific North West

Ok so I did find a thread on this from 2008 but it was a very short lived thread. I'm bringing this back up because it is still happening.

A severed foot, still inside of a running shoe, is the 13th dismembered foot to wash up on the shore of British Columbia since 2007, according to the British Columbia Coroners service.

I heard something about this on a radio show the other morning. Being how most of the feet seem to be in running or hiking shoes I would say those ones are likely from a serial killer who stalks the popular trails of the Pacific Northwest.

Regardless of what the answer this is creepy.

I'd never heard of this before. I wonder how the person has gotten away with it for so long? I'm going to read the article, thanks for the reads.
