No.

No.

The government cannot mandate medical tests.

They cannot.

Obama cannot do a whole boatload of things that he's done in the last 7 years.

But somehow nobody got around to mentioning it, and there they all sit, implemented.

once you allow a govt to get away with forcing Americans to buy healthcare, you can expect the govt to eventually mandate what the American people eat and do under the guise of helping to keep down the cost of healthcare. The govt forcing a citizen to do anything is a very bad idea IMHO

Too late...in my opinion. If the government controls healthcare, then anything that has to do with your body or your mind is already within their control. All they have to do is dress it up to appear in favor of better health, make it a requirement of you receiving insurance and/or healthcare subsidies (eg. you lose your insurance if you don't conform) then the IRS can do as it pleases with you. Fine you...take your home...arrest you...garnish your wages...etc.

While I don't know the details of the laws, I have no doubt some if not all of the following are on the agenda:
No soda or you lose your healthcare
No smoking or you lose your healthcare
Don't believe in global warming...mental disease
Obsessed with gun ownership...mentally ill / violent
Don't vote for the left...oops...too soon. Maybe in 2017

Giving control over healthcare to the government to any extent was the biggest mistake we have allowed. It trumps gun control laws and so much more. Because now...anything can be twisted into being related to your health or the health of your family. Don't want your kids to get flu shots...you're jeopardizing their health...IRS!

Congratulations America...freedom is gone...enjoy the illusion.

Cruz is the only hope for America to avoid / turn back this crap.

Trump may have one or two things he wants to stop the govt doing, but not all. He loves eminent domain, crony capitalism, etc.

Shrill and Burnt want to quadruple down all of it. Yet there are people complaining in this thread, who will vote for them.

Eggs actly Chaz. Then who is to say/type/utter which tool(s) to use? Any Dr. worth their salt would tell You it is named "practicing medicine" versus "doing medicine" because it, like everything else is in constant change, with change being the ONLY constant.

In the Emergency Room here in Flori-Duh, one of the first questions after "Who will be paying?" is "Do You have any firearms in Your household?" I only know this because I got to 4 hours and 20 minutes w/a Cialis™ 'Bone-ay' and had to go tell everybody... It beat My Viagra™ by 19 min. and I lost that because I had to park way out by the street and the cranky Security Guard was getting nosey.

The government does not have the enumerated power to require the mandatory purchase of a product either...but it got past the Supreme Court didn't it?

Legally speaking, the Federal Government is in direct violation of the Constitution...of course it has been on other matters for decades as well. Either way I care not for the dictates of criminals who do not follow the law.

Well, the SC is now infested with several people who claim the UN and World Court and IMF trump the US constitution and laws, and a chief justice who pretended to be conservative, so that he could get appointed and help the communists.

So yeah, they apparently have all the powers they need to totally ignore the constitution, law, precedent, or the actual words in laws. Roberts simply announced "that's not what they meant when they wrote the law" for communist-care.

Unfortunately, people who do not want to do this will be called traitors and terrorists by some other americans. As we've seen, no matter the reason that you defy the government, other people will name call you and try to shame you into complying because they swallow the government's side of the argument.

Well, there you go.

I looked this up on Google just now. It looks like it's been in the news for a while but I haven't heard about it until I saw it here (naturally).

At any rate, obviously, a government that can force you to buy health insurance because you might get hit by a bus whilst uninsured can force you to do ANYTHING.

I encourage everyone to READ THIS PAGE and see if it isn't at least a little chilling.

This is correct, whatever people might think of Cruz, he is the only candidate who will put conservative supreme court justices in place.

Kasich, Bush, Trump, etc. cannot be trusted to do it. It is practically a single issue election at this point.

Cruz is the only one with a pure respect for the constitution. Everybody else on the GOP side is a fair weather, pick & choose type. The dems are fully dedicated to scrapping it and starting over with something more in tune with the USSR.
I think Cruz has a few allies who aren't running, such as Sessions, Paul, Lee. But there aren't many left. Isn't that crazy, not many people left in DC who value the constitution ?

Either dem communists, or 100% opportunists, GOP-RINO's. The constitution is just a hinderance to their personal goals and 50 years in power.

I don't think mandatory is what is needed, but health insurance should include psychiatric health too. Talking to someone with confidentiality can do more than people think: sane or insane, depressed or not. I think it is a good step in the right direction.

I don't know if this was covered, I kinda skipped the line.

People can have situational depression. This could be brought on by a loss of a job, loss of a loved one, a divorce, a health crisis. Sometimes medication is needed and/or therapy short term. Sometimes life just hits you hard.

Children can also experience this, parents divorce, a rough start away at college, a sports ending injury, lose of a loved one, a move ect..

Women can experience postpardum depression. Hormones run amuck, and it can be anything from the 'baby blues' all the way to psychosis. And caused by inbalanced hormones.

So when a situation like this happens, one goes to the doctor for help and guidance. It's the mature thing to do, and sometimes people just need a little help at times. And seeking help is IMO a sign of strength.

So seeking help can now put you on the naughty list?

I get why some doctors would find a need to report someone, if someone who is so ill, that red flags are waving left and right, but what about the average person who just gets kicked by life and only needs a wee bit of temporary help.

This has the potential to really screw a lot of people.

This sounds Very strange to me,as a South African. My government doesn't give a hoot about how depressed the SA population is-as long as you pay your taxes you could be playing russian roulette all the day long..very odd.

We have a bunch of anti gunners over here.....gone mad quite literally.....going to win, gona get them guns and not going to take NO for an answer.....believe gun sorts, constitutionalist sorts are brain damaged anyway so they will just find a way to call them all mad.
