Your post was one word away from a star. If you had just said "politicians" instead of progressives and kept your partisan opinion silent you would have been spot on. Progressives aren't the only ones who waste tax money on frivolous expenses and if you were honest with yourself, you'd admit it too.

I don't disagree. However, one of the parties is actually trying to do something about it.

So basically, no one can be rich?

Yep!

The progressive end game is the highest paid people in the land is the president, and politicians.

Sports stars, singers, actors, and people like Buffet, and Gates,Zuckerberg etc can't exist.

Whatever happened to America: Land of Opportunity? I was always brought up to think that in America, if you worked hard, you might become rich.

The left is trying desperately to disparage that belief. They are succeeding in many ways by constantly using the meme, "we need a level playing field", or "the system is rigged against you", or any number of other memes that attempt to knock American optimism and drive right out of you. The young seem to be buying into it in greater numbers.

I call that the LEFT just loves giving people a trophy for showing up in life.

A person being born means they are entltled to everything their little hearts desire.

The complete antithesis of just how, and why this country was ever founded, and rose to the level it has.

Their ideology has been the leading cause of America's decline.

I never did get an answer from the socialists here, so I'll ask again, how much tax is too much??

What amount of tax, what percentage would be the optimal rate?

What's the ideal tax?

People can still be rich, but only as rich as the government tells you, you can be.

But you won't have to worry about education or medical issues because they will take care of you with flowers and sunshine.

You'll never get an answer. I've asked this question on multiple occasions. Just like they will never specifically define "living wage".

What you will find is that if you back them into a corner and do get an answer, the rate is actually lower than what most of people pay currently exposing their general lack of knowledge of taxation.

Some media outlets did this at one point. They asked people what tax rate was considered fair for people making like $1 million and the rates were like 25% or less. Of course, we know that people making $1 million or more in wages can pay upwards of 50% of more between fed and state taxes.

Enriching the 1% less will not impact their standard of living, but it elevate the standard of living for those who are not wealthy. Nobody needs Big Money. After a certain point, income is but academic and does nothing to increase the (financial) security of a family. That alone is a valid argument for sharing wealth more equitably. Raising the standard of living for the many rather than the few will make America stronger and more resilient to the challenges ahead. Ironically, this will benefit the wealthy in ways money cannot. And it will create even greater wealth for those who provide goods and services as demographic markets rise in economic power. Investing in America. What a novel concept.

If they can't be honest with how much money they want to take, then how can they be believed on any issue?

They won't answer because nothing ever satisfies them.

It's like a drug addiction.

Take a hit, and keep taking until theirs nothing left of the body.

Don't they have trillions stashed in offshore tax havens? That should cover increased taxes and more. I always wondered why tax evaders did not go live where they stash their money. Oh, I guess they would have to pay taxes to that country. Their citizens are dumb too.

Again...
You are the one providing the divisiveness...
Not the progressives, not the democrats from 1913.
Not the uber rich.
You.

Providing no answers yet placing all blame.

I'd like to introduce you to the concept of the wage floor. The economy is more or less based around it.

You can rob from the rich all you want and justify it however you want to make yourself feel better about it, but it won't change the fact that the floor will still be floor no matter how much you set that floor at. Costs will adjust around that new floor and it will still define the reality of the bottom who will still be poor.

Or they might actually pay taxes in those countries, but they pay far less.

The rich wrote legislation to prevent that anymore.

How the hell is that exactly ?

I really don't care how much someone makes.

I am not obsessed because someone else has 'more' than I do.

And I sure as snip don't hide behind government skirt expecting them to 'give' something I get on my own.

Wasn't aware I was using a national stage lying my butt off telling people ALL of their problems are because of 'rich' people.

Unlike the Sanders, and UNLIKE progressives that have been singing that same OLD tune for over 100 years.
