So far the 2016 election has been exciting. I predict Bernie Sanders will defeat Clinton tonight but results will be very close, while Trump will clinch the top spot in NH.

I am predicting Bernie will shame Clinton, probably with a 10 point lead. Trump will win with a 25 point lead.

I think Trump will shame any rivals for the GOP nomination. However, Clinton and Sanders will trade jabs in the primaries. I don't see either delivering a knockout until one of the them get the nomination. A ticket with them both will be the best bet for the Democrats.

Sanders has a strong start:

Sanders 17 61%

Clinton 9 32%

Bernie has 2x the votes. 2/3 - 1/3 over Clinton.
Yet, Clinton already holds 6 delegates (out of 32) and Bernie 0 delegates.

Ha, that's nearly 20% of delegates captured while getting her a$$ kicked.
Ridiculous

Can you (or someone) please explain what the "delegates" mean?

It sucks that Clinton received almost 500 "superdelegates" pledges to her before the first vote was cast in Iowa. It gives the appearance, nationally, that she is kicking Sanders ass; when in reality, that could not be further from the truth. It appears that Sanders will have to overcome that disadvantage....no worries though; Obama did the same thing in 2008.

Here is a link to comprehensive explanation. It was written in '08, so it speaks in specifics about a previous election, but the basics are explained.

Thanks for sharing this with me.

Funny how not ONE delegate seems to have taken the "cue" from voters on choosing Bernie.

also, the article mentioned "horse trading", what is this?

These delegates are supposed to take their cue from the voters who cast ballots during their states primaries and caucuses, though each party's rules make it possible for multiple rounds of balloting and significant horse trading if no candidate is able to muster a majority on the first ballot.

Super delegates often switch sides, time will tell.

After a few wins for team Sanders, things will get crazy and sh#t will fly!

Hillary's camp is not expecting to take NH. I think they are resolved to that. They're looking forward to South Carolina to move ahead.

I agree with you on both counts. I liked Kasich from the first GOP debate. And I think he's just the kind of guy NH would approve of.
