7 Arrested in Alleged ISIS-Related Terror Plot

Well, seems as though isil is up to no good once more. I am sure they have a pretty good amount of soldiers in Russia. Will this be the next large scale target?

The article goes on to say "they were going to carry out "high-profile attacks" using improvised explosives on Moscow, St. Petersburg and in the area around Ekaterinburg".....

Russian security services have arrested seven people accused of plotting terror attacks on behalf of the Islamic State in major Russian cities, the country’s FSB intelligence agency said today.

The arrests were made in the city of Ekaterinburg, located in the Urals region on the edge of Siberia, the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation said in a written statement.

It seems like everyone is being threatened with terrorism these days, even Russia. It's a shame countries can't put their petty differences aside and join forces to root this evil scourge off the face of the earth.

They might, no actually, will be after Russia, but Putin has anticipated this.

The FSB is the KGB reborn. And if the KGB were good at one thing, it was surveillance. Russia does not have all the silly PC laws that stop our western governments from doing much useful to stop the threats.

Which is very true however some of those silly laws are all that protects us, the citizens, from stupid mistakes by those who are supposed to serve and protect. It always seemed like part of the Russian arrest procedure was for three guys to hold one guy while they kick the Sh*t out of him and make him totally submissive for the old hand cuff trick. Hummm by some of the stateside videos we have all seen there might be a cultural exchange program on arrest procedures going on ..

russia have had problems with the largely muslim chechens for years, its merely 'when' and 'how big' they commit another terrorist act.
in 1999 nearly 300 were killed in moscow and, led to the second chechen war.
i expect grozny to be levelled next time.
