Hey, did you guys just see the rally in NH???

It's just ended....they're playing a Bowie song - how cool is that????

See - here's the thing. Bernie is the man; for the Boomers to support on their shoulders, and for the Millennials to look to as a grandparent.

Boomers and our kids are paying attention to what matters. Do not underestimate us.
Or Bernie.

Marx didn't invent Socialism, this is a myth.

He defined it.

But where does anybody officially use the actual word before Marx?

Bingo! Bless them, these folks who are full of good intent, have missed this totally. Alas, one day I hope to properly educate those on here who mean well but have socialism in their heads, that taking money from one group to give to another without their earning that money is a fatal flaw in socialism/communism.

How long has this capitalist country lasted until the law breakers were allowed to get away with financial crimes. Perhaps we can look in the 19th Century where , shortly after the "progressives" formed or 1913 with the Banks that began this long slide to socialism? So far no Socialist country has been around that long to compare but many of them like the Soviet Union, have already collapsed from their on weight with to many hands reaching to get something for nothing from a shrinking pool of workers who earn the money being taken by the big government thieves. Those theives don't fail to get their cut. Kinda like the Mafia but the Governments were considered legal because someone counting the votes says these crooks were the winners. In this instance, I am thinking Stalin and his observation about the importance of who is doing the counting.

Is this about creating a better country or creating a few winners?

I think you both totally miss the point that youre middle class hasnt been as small ever. Sanders will use tax money and money that now goes to the militery to invest in the country creating more jobs = higher wages. So maybe you pay more taxes but you also have higher wages. Also fighting big corporations and improve competition in those sectors will create higher wages. Easy as that.

How do you think any Northern European country do it with even higher taxes; while making less hours per worker, have more/better social programs and still have bigger middle classes than the US?

This is not magic guys.

I want Number one to keep it a better country. The thieves at the top we can all agree, are running this show. We have laws to handle them but they have positioned their people to protect them. This is why you all are so sure Bernie is the answer when he is merely a symptom of the crooked getting their way on the backs of currently free people. It is a huge Ponzi scheme to take money from one group without rewarding them with something of intrinsic value and then giving the money to people who do not earn it and bring the whole system crashing down.

It is simply a math problem and the criminals running the show MUST BE PENALIZED or the whole planet will suffer, as unpunished crimes begat more unpunished criminals.

These country's are falling apart as we watch, if you had been watching the reports. They have had to invite refugees basically in my estimation to keep the Ponzi scheme alive. The days of free men are numbered without the rule of law winning out.

Edit to add

Have you noticed that we are not moving to Europe but Europeans are moving here and refugees are moving to both America and Europe. This, I believe, is our clue.

According to an 1888 volume of A New English Dictionary on Historical Principles, the word socialism was coined on 13 February 1832 in Le Globe, a liberal French newspaper of Pierre Leroux

I agree but that one group they take money from used to be the middle class, I hope you do understand that. Rich will still be rich and poor still poor if Sanders gets elected.

Yes, i didn't remember the actual dates but I had said probably 19th century was when the progressives started. Lenin I believe was the guy paid to write their plans and Marx used that to make his "manifesto".

Maybe I have that backward.

A wiki quote about Bolsheviks

The Bolsheviks were born out of Russia’s Social Democrat Party. When the party split in 1903, the Bolsheviks only had one obvious leader – Lenin.

Don't forget: whomever is elected president this time will likely control the nomination of 2 supreme court justices. That's huge, right there.

But the source they cite doesn't show any actual genuine printed examples of the word (in any language).

They just "back into" an "acceptable" definition by default.

Typical.

The whole concept is based on deception anyway, so it makes sense to use deception for modern definitions.

Oh yes, the issue is do we let criminals keep their ill gotten gain? We solve that one and we solve this problem.

We need capitol to invest and those stealing it for their own selfish reasons was for free men to issues laws and ordinances against. Now Bernie is spot on about the influences of lobby to control our laws. Once it gets to the point of capitalists being allowed to steal money and property by gaming the system, we have to act or the "house of cards" (great show btw) comes tumbling down . We all see this right now i believe. We are not in agreement on how to proceed.

I live in those countries and this is just propaganda. Its just a bit messy till we sorted out who are economical refugees and who arent. And about 80-90% will be send back.

But even if they/we were then it still wasnt because of our more socialistic system now was it? So my point still stands: Why have European countries have bigger midle classes with better social services against higher taxes than even Sanders might be thinking of?

:

Once again I feel you are on to it . Deception is the issue. It is as my example from Political Science 101 where they bump us a little to the left or right while being careful not to push too hard during any one step. That is the game. We have to be diligent to keep the Republic. Rome started off as a Republic too.

Gee how many of these European countries do you live in and why do you feel you need to move around so? What bigger middle class is there than America,,, maybe the burgeoning Chinese middle class who are living in a changing system that still MIGHT be communist in 50 years?

Truly, with the exception of England for whom the American model was borrowed and tweaked to eliminate a monarchy despite itself, they all are very young governments compared to the current USA, Greece in old times or Rome. Very, very young in the big scheme of things of politics too.

I think Socialism is a better economic model but Americans may never want it, I will very likely never see anything close it anywhere in my lifetime and it may never happen anywhere, ever... it's too hard for people, I guess. I can live with Social Democracy within a Republic though especially with our Constitution.

Just because you're ignorant of its use does not mean it didn't happen.

Jump to the history section. Generally a lot of French thinkers, as well as Thomas Paine, yes, the Thomas Paine of the American Revolution - who advocated redistributive taxes on farmers to the poor.
