The only possible 'support' for that assertion is pure supposition based upon ideas proposed by those who held to the documentary hypothesis. There is no actual evidence.

No, your assertion is ridiculous in light of archaeology, language studies, religious tradition, anthropology, theology and the text of the Torah itself.

Unlike the Canaanite gods, Yhwah forbade child sacrifice.

Deut 18:9“When you enter the land which the Yahweh your God gives you, you shall not learn to imitate the detestable things of those nations. 10“There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, one who uses divination,

Yhwah specifically told Israel not to be like the Canaanites or any other nation.
