To be honest, I'm willing to side with the fact this was an honest mistake on all parties' parts. Cruz' people probably got a hold of some bad information and jumped the gun without verifying and Carson's team didn't do enough to squash the rumors from getting out of hand. But even at the most, it was just a shady tactic by the Cruz team to try to capitalize on Carson's failing campaign. It's kind of a low move, but it's not illegal and deserving of a recount. And Trump has no business getting involved in either case.

Just a note, Trump had accused Cruz of "illegally" stealing the election... then thought better of it and changed it.

Trump removed the word "illegally" from his tweet

I'm sure this is all a joke too. Him accusing Cruz of first "illegally stealing" to just "stealing" the Iowa vote. Maybe eventually everyone will come to the conclusion that Trump's campaign is a joke?

So do you agree that Sanders should not question those results, or, are we just bias to Mr Ferret-Head?

the Huffpo headline is funny. I think if one were to think about the term "meltdown" It would more aptly apply to the reactions in the media to Trumps antics than these two tweets.

Note to our readers: Donald Trump is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist, birther and bully who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims -- 1.6 billion members of an entire religion -- from entering the U.S.

I agree with your points for the most part. I just tend to think that the impact was greater than what you are willing to admit. And that's fine because it's something that is not quantifiable at this point.

I also think that the Cruz campaign saw the press release by Carson, knew that it was poorly worded, and used it to their advantage and capitalized by knowingly spreading misinformation .

To me that is or at least should be grounds for an investigation

The New Yorker did pretty damn good in Iwoa.

Cruz is an Eddie Munster looking D-Bag.

Trump should be happy. He is his own worst enemy.

Are you really trying to justify what Cruz did? It is in the interest of ALL parties that are running if there is one person who is acting in this manner.

Furthermore, what 'dirty tricks' of politics has Trump performed? Or any other candidate for that matter?

If Carson doesn't want to pursue an investigation, then why bother?

I asked should he not question the results. Not if he was being a baby....

Cruz has been set up in Iwoa for a year.

Let him enjoy it...it will be his last win.

I'm not justifying anything. Just stating my opinion of what really happened. Don't get me wrong, I DON'T like Cruz nor his politics. So if you think I'm trying to defend Cruz, you are SORELY mistaken.

Lol. Do you really want me to go there?

He has every right to question the results. At least in his case the fraud may have directly affected him.

Maybe. I hope you are right and Rubio takes over from here. He's the best conservative candidate.

I hope it's his last win; with comments like this; shows his complete lack of knowledge about the constitution.

A Cruz theocracy really scares me!!

I could live with Rubio. Not my first choice but, whatever.

Cruz is hated among his peers. I think he is too religious.

I am having fun...This is cheap high drama entertainment.

Rubio is not the best candidate. He is a typical done nothing career politician. A Bobby jindal.

Also has the best chance of beating a democrat and has stated he will use the federal government to prosecute the states that legalized marijuana.

I didn't say he was the BEST candidate. I said he was the best conservative candidate. I'm a Sanders supporter, mate.

First I've heard of this. Going to go check up on that.

ETA: Marco Rubio on Drugs

Yuck... Well like I've said for a while now, he's only my choice if it's a choice between him or Clinton.

You are absolutely right. My statement was in reference of law and the legality of having the probable cause with enough evidence to have grounds for an investigation, ultimately if the victim is not interested then fine. The article is about another candidates reaction to the events. And of course Trump went belicose and attacked the results which is par for the course. Why is anyone still surprised that Trump has built this personal and he can't break from it now.

That said my personal view is that the events of the Iowa caucuses with Ted Cruz campaign should definitely be fair game as far as using it in the campaign against him.
