Everclear is sold legally.

I never said it was "legal" for people to make it in the backwoods of Louisiana.

It is available legally.

I think he'll do whatever he says he'll do. He may not have an immediate plan as soon as he takes the White House, but he'll employ the people and get things moving the right direction.

I'm not suggesting you are in any way. I am pointing out that those threads you mentioned made it to the top pages because they had been given many Flags and stars.

Where would you consider the backwoods of Louisiana to be?

I'm pretty conservative myself...

Never drank, smoke, never done drugs.

Married a woman who would never abort anything, even in the first trimester.

I believe in traditional roles - I work more than my wife, she cooks more than me.

That's all my personal life, though, and how I choose to live...

Choosing how others live? I am Christian in that aspect.

Love others, accept others, don't judge others, let others choose what they do with their lives...

All christian concepts. Though they've now been called liberal.

Damn.... I thought you were better than that. We were almost on the path of a handshake and a compromise of differences.

LOL

I wasn't talking about you. I understand what you're saying. Had they made civil unions the same, legally speaking, as marriage then I doubt anyone would have complained. I also didn't see a problem with that either. Because it is a real issue. When you're with someone you love and you're a couple of whatever kind having legal walls that would deny you a voice if you're partner is in the hospital or something would be a serious thing. Or being considered legally a joint couple for whatever reason. I can understand why the civil union thing didn't work the first time around. It's because gay couples probably felt slighted with the whole thing like they were being seen as not really married like anyone else and not even legally given the same protections.

I'm a far right Conservative and I am too. Looks like he's gonna be the one to unites America again. Other liberals and Conservatives will just have to relocate once he's elected.

I don't think Trump will ever be allowed to be president.

So far I think he's gotten the "sensational" vote.

I don't think the "real" voters come in this early. I think the "real" voters are sitting quietly watching the circus. Their voices will be heard at the voting booth.

Building a wall and making our foreign friends come here the legal way like the others have done.
Cutting ties with terrorist active areas in the Middle East.
Blocking refugees and other foreigners from coming to America from terrorist active regions in the Middle East.
Repealing the current ACA.
The 0%, 10%, and 20% tax plan he proposed (I think that's what it was. I liked the plan he proposed).

That's getting things in the right direction in my opinion.

Exactly. I'd have been pissed off too. Of course it doesn't hurt anybody either way, I just think there would have been more compromise had the benefits and such been implemented into what already existed. It's hard to imagine being in the hospital with your partner and not being able to choose whether they live or die, and then not getting the money if a sudden death occurred. But at this point, it is what it is.

See, I'm thinking totally different. I think the silent voices have been sitting around for the last 8 years watching and have now started speaking up. We'll see though, not much longer to go.

Separate, but "equal" is never OK.

If everyone had civil unions from the beginning it wouldn't be an issue. But, that is not what our government did.

Our government made marriage (the word marriage) a legal government license/contract. It must apply to everyone equally.

If anyone owns the word "marriage" it's the government.

Other than a big ugly wall and the tax plan the rest of what you're saying isn't too bad. I think it's been shown that his tax plan just wouldn't work though hasn't it??? Unless you're really rich anyway because it flattens out around the middle class to upper middle class area and then stays the same. Plus it wouldn't bring in enough money.

At least that is what I remember reading about it.

But besides all that, let's be honest, the guy is a f*cking bull in a china shop when it comes to how he deals with stuff. You can't get all butt hurt and start calling people names as president just because you want something done your way. There is no way he'd get by pulling that stuff with other world leaders that have been doing this stuff for years. He'd be a joke and nobody would take him serious. Which would result in just making him more mad and hurting his ego more and he'd probably start another war because of it. The guy is fascist and egomaniac and the last guy you would want to give military power to. Do you not see that with a military at his command how dangerous he'd be??

hey, by the standards of todays republicans, you're a flaming socialist....I'm 63, and white, and you sound like the type of republican that I have as my friends.....we differ on how to make America better, we each throw out our best points and discuss them, sometimes we reach a consensus, sometimes not. but, never have we questioned each others patriotism, nor would we hesitate to pick up a gun and defend this nation.

Correct, which is what that whole thing was. Although, IMO I think had they actually made everything legal and the same between Civil Unions and Marriage the first time around it might have been good enough to not have to change it. Sure there would still be some that would argue the principle of it and all, but those who were just wanting to make sure they had equal protection under the law would have been fine with it.

It's too late now either way, but for those that didn't want it to be called marriage they would have had a better chance of keeping the word marriage the same had they not tried shorting gays with the civil union thing the first time around. They were stingy and tried to pull one over on people and it didn't work and IMO they screwed themselves on that one. Had they just done it right the first time it might have just been enough to let it slide.

Exactly why I won't vote for Bernie either.

Would I want Bernie in charge of my personal family? Probably.

Do I want Bernie in charge of the country? NO. He has no interest in foreign or international politics.

There is no way we or any country is going to go backwards and be an isolated country, separate from Global politics. You just don't go backwards.

Bernie lacks foreign/international interest and Trump would piss everyone off except his supporters "currently in favor".

I think he'll employ the people that he thinks are right for the job. A wall, a fence, an invisible boundary that shocks you when you pass it... Whatever it takes to make people come here legally. It's not Mexicans or South Americans that are the problem. It's the illegality of it. I can't remember what his tax plan was or if it was debunked, but if it was, I'd hope that he would find a workable solution.

I know I don't want Hillary, and I'm afraid of Bernie taxing me more to pay for tuition and healthcare while lowering my healthcare premiums as a reward. That's what he said in the last debate about the middle class and how he'd tax them.
