If you can achieve all those goals without raising taxes, then why hasn't it already been done?

Well, let's see...

- corporate sponsored government corruption at all levels
- misappropriation of tax revenues at all levels
- corporate and personal tax havens
- multinational free trade corruption
- bankster gambling cartels
- trickle-up economic practices

... just to name a few off the top of my head.

Although I find it a strange tactic to paint one's candidacy up in the colours of a Christian partisan and expect to win a national election, I am not afraid of Cruz creating a Christian theocratic state anymore than I am afraid of Obama creating a Caliphate because of his close ties to Muslims and his childhood Islamic education in Indonesia.

Christians have every right to band together and promote someone who thinks like them. Irish Catholics did that in the Democratic Party for generations. I think fear of "religious people in power" is an odd psychopathology ... as odd as thinking the US President is a practicing Muslim intent on imposing Sharia law in the USA. Fears of religious groups and the targeting of Abrahamic faiths for baseless denunciation only serves the Controllers' divide and conquer strategy.

Were Cruz to be elected there are a Senate, House, and Supreme Court who do not see the world as he does. There are also the controlled media and the fringe media who do not see the world as he does. I honestly believe your system has enough checks and balances to prevent the sudden onset (read: coup) in favour of a theocratic revolution. Having family who are citizens of the USA, I take a special interest in these affairs in spite of my non-USA citizenship and political ideology, and I honestly see no good coming from fear when it is possible to challenge an odd duck like Sen. Cruz on so many grounds ... not least of which is his vote in favour of the 'diabolical' TPP.

No - I will not 'leave Cruz alone.' He is dangerous.

Because of his Christian values?

"The famous discussion on the Sermon on the Mount should be something that you really pay attention to. There’s a lot of great Bible studies: What does the Sermon on the Mount really mean? What is it calling us to do and to understand? Because it sure does seem to favor the poor and the merciful and those who in worldly terms don’t have a lot but who have the spirit that God recognizes as being at the core of love and salvation." - Hillary Clinton

Does that make Hillary a dangerous theocrat too?

And having the government take more money (when government is already corrupt) is a good thing?

Nope, not at all.

The corruption needs to be corrected.

Once that's achieved, then stricter regulations and policies need to be (re)implemented to rein in everybody and slap them on a short leash.

No sense pouring more money into a broken system until then.

Well pandering to the religious right got Bush Jr. the elections, so Cruz knows what he is doing.

Still most American do not like to be told how to worship their religion and Mr. Cruz is forgetting that Gays still have rights in the US.

Still in a time that most Presidents are ruling by executive decisions, if he becomes president he still can cause a lot of damage.

To summarize thread.

Buzzy is concerned that Cruz is a Christian and won't follow the constitution.

Buzzy supports the current president that won't follow the constitution.

Buzzy doesn't see his own hypocrisy.

Don't be like buzzy

So you are stating that no one making under 500 million a year will see an increase in taxes?

Thats the problem isnt it?

The hard-core soloists always say they will only tax the super-rich yet its the professionals like Doctors, Scientists, Lawyers and other middle class jobs that get hit with the tax.
Happened when the UK had a socialist government under his blairness. Middle class got wacked with the bill.

Still can’t stand Cruz. Religion and politics don’t and never should mix.

Over here, we be arguing what people think, believe and say they are about.

Mean while, in foreign lands the bombs be fallin'.

Are those bombs from the right or left, the religious or not?

Does it matter?

She's two faced. Talking bout the poor, oppressed and down trodden out one side of her mouth, while plotting against nations and laughing when their legitimate heads of state are murdered (Qaddafi).

Oh, noes! How dare those dirty, evil religious folks vote and have opinions and feelings on whom they want to lead the country like the Holier than thou progressives!

No I just find them hypocrites like the progressives.

A lot bitch and whine about progressives forceing there evil social values on them and social engineering but then want the government to enforce there own religious values instead with there own version of social engineering.

Both are Authoritarian.

As a Christian myself I may on a individual level understand or agree with some of cruz positions but dont think its the government job to enforce them.

You know what astounds me?

Everyone knows and admits that Washington DC is corrupt. Congress is corrupt. Presidents are corrupt. The whole system is rife with corruption.

Hell, I've seen more authenticity in Harry Potter films than I ever have in DC.

Yet there are those that think that electing a single person will eliminate all that corruption and that we should allow government to take ever more than they're taking now.

One person, be it Cruz or Sanders or even Hillary, won't make a single bit of difference in the grand scheme of things.

Just my opinion.

God, don't you people get tired of demonizing the one man who wants things to get better? Cruz doesn't want things to get better. He doesn't care about any of you.

yes, and that worked out so well, didn't it? Wasn't he the one that initiated the patriot act to begin with, my, talk about tearing apart the constitution. oh ya, and the great crusade, what has that led to, oh ya, ISIS!!! and I fail to see how any modern day christian could possibly throw their support to something like torture, but well... it seems that many did.

peace to war
kindness and compassion to torture
christ to antichrist!

Ted Cruz is one of the biggest nuts I've seen running for US pres. He might get some votes in the bible belt states but overall I think he's close to unelectable becasue too much of a religious nut. Time will tell but he makes Trump look moderate.
