Its funny how you've just "decided" that, the same way that i'm sure that you know your specific religion is the "Truth." Marriage has been practiced for THOUSANDS of years, by thousands of different faiths and even the non-religious (Most native-american tribes had marriage ceremonies that had nothing to do with your god.) I've never understood why religious people think they can claim ownership of a word, just because they're worried that if someone else uses that word it'll lump them in with the "Undesirables."

What exactly makes you so sure that the word "marriage" has such strictly defined parameters?

What if someones religion has no problem with gays? Does your religion automatically trump theirs because theirs isn't the right religion?

It just seems like a non-issue to me, but every time I get into these discussions there's someone who always says this exact phrase but can't seem to back it up with anything other the the bible and "cause I don't like it!"

No pun intended, but nailed it. If you're not into a particular practice or kink, you don't partake & you carry on your merry way. For example, I know people into BDSM, and (straight) people into anal sex. I'm not interested in either, but I'm not going to go drumming up support for banning either of them, or invalidating their marriage commitments because of said preferences.

It therefore seems logical that those who make the most noise grappled with hidden interest in what they claim to despise, and might want to do some soul searching. And watch a little gay porn. It's actually pretty hot.

the idea that a man must be with a woman and homosexuality is bad, is a christian idea. even if you dont endorse a religion, it happens to be a christian idea. let's not beat around the bush here. a true christian admits their faith not hides it, but if you're not endorsing a religion, i applaud you.
