Feel Bernting Inside

Was going to leave this in the thread about Socialism and Sanders but felt compelled to make it an insta-rant.

Anyways

America has finally caught up with Europe and Asia.

We have reached a level of "densely populated".

Sure, there are people scattered out all over in the sticks, but the majority of the country is condensed into large cities and urban areas compromising several major cites with no "space" left between them.

Therefore, we have been seeing the growing trend of having not enough jobs above the minimum wage level that there needs to be to sustain the overly populated area.


Socialism, if heavily monitored and not allowed to run amok and become corrupted, can be a good thing for areas of the world that have more people than jobs.

America and Capitalism is not designed for stagnation.
In the past, stagnation equaled homelessness.

It still does and would for a lot more, if it wasn't for assistance.

The real problem isn't Capitalism or Socialism, it’s over population.
We are overpopulated.

The thing is, is that actually we are not overpopulated - IF - we all were to spread out and live on sustainable plots of land - but we don't, we pile up into massive cities.

So in this reality we are overpopulated as a world and we have completely screwed ourselves over the past couple hundred years through greed.

Grains come from these parts, meat from another. We need each other to survive in this crazy system that we have created.

So, in the long run, going off of how mankind is and how we will most likely always be, how is going to work out?



Does the entire world go Capitalist, where you must have the bottom (homeless) and the top (ceo/president) for the plan to be true?

Or does the world go socialist, everyone has the basic human rights of: Education, Healthcare, Housing, and Food. These rights are provided as a minimum to all members of the human race on planet earth.

As a citizen of planet Earth, one of the greatest cultures in the Galaxy, if not the Universe, all humans on planet Earth have basic human rights of Education, Healthcare, Housing and Food.

On this planet, Humans collectively work the many thousands of different ways to work on the planet. Collectively, they pool their incomes together into funds that keep the planet running to make it a progressive and rewarding experience for all.


OR

Planet Earth goes completely capitalist and eventually entire continents are designated as debtor’s prisons, where people who couldn't keep up and were found guilty of negative income and homelessness are sent to perish-
Oh wait; we already did some of that in the 16th-19th centuries!

The future of mankind cannot really exist without some kind of worldwide socialist-based, human outlook.


Bernie probably won't win, but it is a step in the right direction.

That may possibly be the most well thought out 'rant' that I've ever read. I click on a rant, and I expect thrashing and gnashing of teeth and vitriolic rhetoric. What a breath of fresh air you are.

I don't personally agree with the last line, but only because I think the U.S. system needs to be eased into it, else chaos might ensue. I think that Senator Sanders is just a tweak ahead of his time, but not right for now. His ideas should spread now.

Keep getting vaccinated and the population problem will go away, in fact it'll drop to about 500mill.

There's plenty of room on this planet, the real problem is its all being fenced off because more and more of it is being owned by corporations. It was only a year or two ago that the british government were talking about letting corporations own our forested areas.

The planet will eventually become over crowded, but by the time that happens we'll be capable of living in space.

Overpopulated, no. Improperly managed, yes.

There will always be the need for the strong to carry the weak. In a society where the strong become corrupt, the weak/poor get left behind.

OP must be an urban dweller who thinks it is entirely appropriate to enslave the population of the "sticks" to his needs.

How about this? If you want to socialize your urban centers, have at, but I and others will move to the sticks and keep our liberties.

Yes, we cannot get into space soon enough. I won't be sorry to leave this planet behind.

Actually, you are half right.

Until a year ago, I lived in NYC for 12 years.

I now live in the middle of the woods and down in a holler in Appalachia with the nearest neighbor being about 1/2 mile away.

Down in the south in the backwoods of nowhere.

Drastic change to my life but worth it.

My thoughts exactly. We're hardly overpopulated in the classical term, albeit 70% of the U.S. population is within one day's drive of Chicago... chew on that for awhile.

Socialism doesn't imply "taking from you and giving it to others," or at least I don't see it. I see it as a way as unification towards a greater good as opposed to a rigged free-market in which too big to fail establishments exist and where trickle-down off-shore tax havens that have no obligation to the American legal-tax system are somewhere "job creators."

Socialist programs that have been created are now considered modern luxuries of life; fire departments, public schools and libraries, police and military, SS, and people hardly complain when it comes to this. Call it what you will, but not too long ago I was being told the government was coming for my guns... they're orchestrating all these mass murders to push their agenda, and now most of these people are supporting a political candidate and at large their government.

I can at least find some hope in that Bernie Sanders is addressing REAL issues that exist within our society, that I can agree with. Do I agree with his executions and or policies without any doubts? Of course not, that's ridiculous. As opposed to the other corporate-whores and Trump, I would much rather see a Sanders presidency.

Trump flip flops on everything. From being a McDonalds to spokesman to anti-corporate interests. Hilary supporter to detesting her. Cruz. He's a clown, and the others are not worth mentioning.

It seems to me that the main problem with socialism is that government is involved. Apparently they think socialism means they can get a credit card with no limit.

I do agree on a few socialist ideals, but overall I don't like the socialist system because it just promotes dependence. You don't see many people striking out on their own starting farms, or trying to rebuild the American job market. All you see is people wanting a free ride, while not contributing.

No, I don't want to pay for your socialism so you can sit on your a* and do nothing.

Most people sit on their ass and do nothing anyways, regardless if they are living in a capitalist or socialist society.

Artists and thinkers will always think and innovate, regardless of the political sphere they live in.

...and this is why we should remove the safety nets and open the doors to true freedom... True freedom grants each individual the freedom to die if they chose not to feed, clothe, shelter, provide fro themselves. That's needed in America today in spades. We've removed all of the natural order from the equation and in doing so, laziness is no longer a naturally self correcting problem. That must change.
