My youngest son has always said he wants to be a police officer. He is now 13 yrs old. Has loved the idea of being a cop since he was a toddler. I've always encouraged him in his choices...just want him to be happy.

Then last night, my husband informs me that our son has changed his mind.

He now wants to join the CIA....

The 'law and order' phase takes some time to overcome ...and for some, never.

But as long as the impulse comes from wanting to help over a "I know best" scenario, all good.

Little advice. When you are with a hot chick everything they say is words of wisdom even if it is not. Make them feel like a genius, even if they cannot spell 'cat' if you spotted them the C and the A.

I realize you're joking....but on the serious level, I take gleeful pleasure in people who underestimate my intelligence level or physical ability based strictly on my looks. It makes it all the more fun when inevitably hand them their @$$.

Honestly, I don't know as I haven't had the chance to ask him yet.... Also, much to their chagrin, I do NOT work for the CIA...but I DO work in intelligence. While my son knows very little about my actual work, he does know that much.

I was going to ask him if he'd be interested in going through the "Future Agents in Training" which is a special program for teenagers who are interested in FBI. Hmm....ideas, idea....

Just thought I'd add that my son says that when he becomes a cop, he can't wait to write me a speeding ticket....

I told him that if he did, I would challenge the ticket and then tell the Judge that he used to be scared of a purple hippopotamus when he was a baby that we used to keep him out of stuff and this is his version of revenge...

If he goes into the CIA, I'm almost afraid of what machinations he'd hold over my head....lol.
