1 Kings 10:14, and 2 Chronicles 10:14 have Solomon receiving 666 talents of gold yearly.
The seal of Solomon, the star on the flag of Israel is a geometric symbol for 666 by counting 6 individual triangles, 6 sides to the inner HEXagon, and the 6 points of the star itself. I'm going to say that the man who's number was 666 is Solomon and NOT nero
The reason the Messiah was unloved by the Jews was becausehe did not match their prophecy of a Messiah who would restore Solomonic glory to Israel. Among other things.
What John is really saying is that the Beast will be THAT Messiah, the one who restores the glory of Solomon's kingom.
Has this Beast come? If so who?

They run throughout history.

Then and now.

Hitlers Germany was a beast, Stalin's Russia, too.

Lots of nations behaving 'beastly' nowadays.

The evil is the gold, in itself.

I'm interested in learning how exactly the Jews didn't love Bar Abbas (the Father's Son, literally) after petitioning for his release and becoming his very first followers, who would later make all of Rome's leadership accept him as their own personal Lord. Neat aikido move.

The beast always has been and isn't going away until the end, it isn't flesh and blood but corruption and evil in high places.

Solomon's mother had a first husband, a Hittite who died as a result of his loyalty to David, who then adultered his way to her sweet poon and caused their lovechild to die at birth before Solomon was ever conceived.
Then Solomon had people build a Temple which was eventually destroyed, after a long and wise life of luxury.

Maybe all the killing, adultering & c. didn't ring with the attempt at honoring the eternal who gave this lineage both the throne and the ten laws.
No CC&R applies to kings, no parking violations or marijuana offences, just those ten things.
Seems like the house of David couldn't walk the straight and narrow.
Saul couldn't either, or could he? Power corrupts.

Are there rulers today who abide by the ten commandments?
The no false testimony one included?
Wouldn't that be nice.

Hitler didn't restore Solomonic glory. Or did he?
The bible is clear this is one entity, so there can't be multiple Beasts 666.

Actually it was written then for the future, right?

From their perspective, the future is now our History. Could be one, all or some say, still to come.
Revelations begins, revealing 'things to come'.

Not going to change your mind, I know how much this point is important to some.
Jews killed Jesus.
Well OK Romans did but it was the Jew's fault.
Not all of them, most of them.

& c.

I call bull#. The empire of that day wouldn't have kept the INRI on top of crosses.

The magical seal of Solomon is an embedded in an 8 pointed star,
For what its worth the six pointed star...

www.overlordsofchaos.com...

Moreover, King David's symbol had always been the Menorah, the candelabrum with seven branches used in ceremonies to symbolise the seven days of Creation. Furthermore, only Jewish sources called the star the "Shield of David," all non-Jewish sources call this symbol the "Seal of Solomon." However, Magen David, the Star of David, began to appear with greater frequency among "the Jews" of the Middle Ages but it had not assumed at this time any special religious significance. The Kabbalists popularised the use of the symbol, employing it as a protection against evil spirits.

The Jewish community of Prague first used the Star of David as an official symbol in the 17th century and since then, the six-pointed star, Magen David or the Star of David, became the official seal of many Jewish communities. Thus, the Star of David had become adopted as a general sign of Judaism, but it has no biblical or Talmudic authority. Its authority derived from the teachings of the Jewish Luciferians, the Kabbalists. In the 19th century, Jews almost universally adopted the Star of David as a symbol of their race: only decades after the Rothschilds adopted this symbol in 1822 as their family coat of arms. That is, because the Rothschilds were Kabbalists, were Jewish Luciferians, they adopted this powerful magic symbol for their coat of arms claiming its inherent occult power as their own.

What John is really saying is that the Beast will be THAT Messiah, the one who restores the glory of Solomon's kingom. (sic)

What scripture are you alluding to?

Well his followers were armed and it took, according to the New Testament a cohort to arrest him; one can guess that Jesus came to claim a physical Kingship, not the start of a new religion.

The seal of Solomon is the star on the flag of Israel. The 8 pointed star is used by Muslims. Sorry.

a reply to: TheConstruKctionofLightYou seem to believe that the star of David as Jews call it is different from the seal of Solomon. It's not. They just call it the star of David because people like you will believe it. It's never been associated with David.

Part of the wisdom of Solomon was occult knowledge which was a separation from God. Not everything Solomon was into was good.

Chasing after the buck is the sign of the devil. A buck has horns, we kill those deer that have horns here. Now having what you need is not evil, but chasing after what you do not need and causing undue hardship to others results from it.

Birds of a feather flock together, but some birds are preditors and they form territories or kingdoms. These birds will fight among themselves to take over the others territory sometimes if they have depleted the resources in their territory. We are the food of these predators, I am a mouse myself. They desire to bleed you to death and then consume everything you have. They make you think they are protecting you from other eagles which would deplete all of your kind. But in essence, if they all left we would be better off.

Solomon's kingdom caused hardship to many people and it may be a sign of the devil to many who were convinced they had to work themselves to death or who had their children or spouse die as the result of Solomon trying to protect all the gold, silver, and other riches that he collected. The bible states in many places not to make idols of gold and silver and put them on display in temples. The usual place these metals were used was in religious artifacts in those days. The shiny metal attracts other predators. Pure gold leaf is too soft to have any use in tool making.

Can anyone see what I am trying to say?

You know a lot about mockery. congratulations.

Now why mock this man is this way rather than another?
Herod was an empire appointed governor.
Jesus had local support from birth (remember the wise kings and the gold he received, so as to not be working the fields or the professions?) and that support is what makes it possible for us to remember him today.
They would have mocked him by calling him a king?
Or killed him and asserted his very real royalty to show their imperial power over him, as had been done in Gaul and in fact every sovereign territory conquered by Rome?
