Aereo Founder is Back with New High-Speed Wireless Service

Ah yeah, okay.

Sure...can't wait to see that in action.

What people don't understand is that your base station, will HAVE to be fed by fiber and back hauls. Which means that you can claim you can serve whatever speed you want, but there are physical limitations to bandwidth and traffic that create congestion on wireless networks.

Especially point to point system.

So yeah...they can bill the service as UP TO that speed, but most customers will see 10 to 15 percent of that during peak hour traffic on the network.

Yeah. Like I said on the OP I'm skeptical of wireless tech. However, the one thing this has going for it is that the Aereo founder and some with deep pockets are behind it.

They already dealt to some extent with some of those issues with Aereo.

I hope you are right and he is able to make it work. His experience with Aereo should help with some of the challenges.

It is beamforming, and at those frequencies you can generate laser thin beams.

Keep in mind that most networks are only scratching the surface of what is possible with beamforming. Interference is usually managed using the inferior approach of frequency reuse in conventional systems.
