Reagan skipped the last Republican debate in Iowa, then he won the POTUS in a landslide.

Trump is nothing close to Reagan

Reagan commanded respect , without demanding it

Reagan could convey an idea without insulting others

Reagan could disagree elegantly and deliver his thoughts succinctly without demeaning the other party

Whether you like him or not Reagan had merits that Trump in no way has

I'll vouch for that, and Reagan is literally one of my least favorite Presidents of all time thanks to escalating the War on Drugs and deregulating the banks.

agreed on those points

I just dont fathom how Trump supporters can come close to even comparing him to Reagan, like him or not the guy was a man of his principles

Trumps principles vary depending on where he needs his ratings to go.....

Just like his glowing review of Cruz, now he says Cruz is nasty

Just like his flip flopping on every other subject, its ridiculous

and now hes crying because he didnt get his way, so hes just not gonna show

He was also an actor. How convienent that a man whose profession was lieing on camera, pretending to be someone else, would end up becoming President of the United States?

The War on Drugs, The War on "X," have all done more damage than good in my opinion.

I'm not saying Trump is anywhere near a Reagan. Just saying that skipping the last Iowa caucus debate has happened before without negative effects. According to Fox this morning, it is unprecedented for a contender to skip a debate. By the way, Fox realizes the debate is nothing without Trump, as this afternoon Ailes tries to get Trump's wife and daughter to try to get him to change his mind.

I don't even consider Trump to be a conservative. He isn't a liberal either. The sooner people realize that Trump is just a narcissist, the sooner we'll all see him for who he truly is. Unfortunately pointing these things out to Trump supporters just results in you being insulted or told that you "fear Trump".

Yea, with that he IS comparable to Trump. Both were entertainers before entering into politics.

A point. The 1980 primary season was the first time since 1948 that there were Republican debates, and the one in Iowa Reagan skipped was not planned to be televised. There were 9 candidates in the Republican field at the time and only 5 participated. Reagan lost Iowa and didn't skip any subsequent debates.

Different people, different times. The reach you have to do to even try to favorably compare Reagan and Trump would cause you to dislocate both shoulders.

and whats trump? he has a TV show as well, hes also skilled at the art of the deal /aka deception

Please, his whole history tells exactly who he is, along with the fact that you can take video of him months a part from one subject to the other and see him saying two totally different things......

Just because someones a actor, doesnt make them a liar, most ridiculous false premise ive seen in support of Trump

No, he isn't 100% conservative nor liberal. That is exactly what most Americans are.

Narcissists can be presidents, too. Obama is the biggest narcissist I have ever seen and he somehow became president.

So you want to elect another one? If obama is the biggest youve ever seen, clearly you are not doing your due diligence looking at Trump

It's funny to see all this hand wringing by Fox. They were mocking and crowing on Jan 19 when the RNC pulled out of the NBC debates because of the conduct of the moderators. Now that the shoe is on the other foot and their golden-girl Megyn Kelley is getting schlonged by the Donald, their panties are in a bunch.

This site isnt much more than a glorified blog post without anything to substantiate it.

Just a random site linking random news articles............

Yep, but I'd still vote for him over Hillary or Bernie.

And I admit that I do appreciate what he's done to the process. Without him we'd likely be staring at a Jeb! candidacy right now. And who wants that?

But those arent the only 3 candidates........thats the problem

I dont know what the cognitive disconnect is with that and trump supporters
