Yeah many are going to see that ad and go..
hmmm??? really?
no middle man aka insurance companies between you and your doctor
Free college???
Medicare for all??
Taxing Wall St to pay for it??

MOINES, Iowa – A super PAC started by Republican mega-donor Joe Ricketts is planning to spend at least $600,000 on an ad attacking Bernie Sanders’ liberalism that backers of Hillary Clinton believe is actually intended to support her Democratic rival.

The ad, which was first reported by the New York Times, ticks trough many of Sanders’ top agenda items, from free public college to higher taxes on Wall Street and the “super rich,” to free health care, before concluding that the Vermont senator is “too liberal for Iowa.” Since it’s basically impossible to be to “too liberal” for the Iowa Democratic caucuses, the ad immediately raised the suspicions of Clinton allies
www.msnbc.com...

Interesting twisty twist if it was in fact a Clintonion planted ad, for one the ad itself is nowhere near as vicious as a Republican ad usually is, unless Iowans even if conservatives are super nice.

It sure don't, lol for this is anything but a Burnie stopping ad I'd fire the producers of this ad if I had put up the money to stop Bernie.

Yeah neither does Santa Claus, but he isn't real either.

wealth cannot be created out of thin air, you cannot tax what does not exist.

If you really are naive enough to think productive companies and individuals will continue to work for nothing to be taxed out of 90 percent of their earnings well I feel sorry for you.

They will either stop working or move somewhere else where work is rewarded.

But thankfully even if he is somehow elected, he will get nothing through congress.

Lemme ask you something Proximo when was the Tax rate the highest and when was the American middle class the strongest.

We have the lottery in S.C. We already get a free college education, I did. 3 years of college and 2 at a technical school, all free. Bernie says he is going to raise our taxes quite a bit. I already pay 13 grand a year, he scares me in that respect.

Not so much if you are in the middle , some for sure connected to universal health Care but the savings will offset healthcare cost, if you are part of the super wealthy then yes it will go up by much especially if you are a wall St speculator.

i see no problem why an american citizen who has a personal cash value of say 400 million dollars (not counting shares in companies, or ownership of companies, but actual cash value) cannot make due with only 100 million dollars?? oh if they want to move away because of that, by all means, GTFO!

i think 100million dollars is a fair line to be drawn where any personal cash assets exceeding that will be immediately rolled into a national education/health care fund. oh poor us, we have only 100 million now, how dare they impede on our liberty! there is a simple way to avoid the direct confiscation in my rule books though. just roll it into a higher pay for any and all employess of their majority owned businesses. that would also drive up the value of that companies stocks.

Hahahaha! It's WONDERFUL!

It's a "vote for Bernie" ad disguised as - a "vote for Bernie" ad!

Are they just thinking the word "liberal" will scare off Iowans? That's hilarious.

"Bernie has too many cooties for Iowa!"

And when they come for the people who have 10 million? Then 1 million? Then 100,000?

The primal urge of the Socialist species is to look at other Primates and decide which ones have "too much" so that they and theirs can have more.

And that "too much" differs with every single one you ask

It still won't impact a majority of Americans.

Remember, the only thing wrong with capitalism is that, eventually, you run out of everyone else's money.

This ad will have an impact on people who still think 'socialist' is a bad word. Namely, people who weren't going to vote for Bernie anyway.

Edit to add: What is up with the title of this thread? It makes no sense.

That's exactly what happened in the UK. They were so pissed at their "rich" people that they passed onerous inheritance taxes that basically robbed the rich of their fortunes. Most all the large houses in Britain are now a part of the National Trust because their owners could not afford to keep them. Now inflation has been such that this inheritance tax is starting to touch the common people and bite into what little fortune they have managed to accumulate as well.

Meanwhile the great British Empire has fallen. The country's economy is basically ruined. he infrastructure is trashed. A great many are on the dole and have never worked, and the only reason people go to Great Britain is to tour the great houses.

Their grand scheme to separate the rich from their money and make everyone equal worked very well. Now they are equally poor.

When the rest of the world was either bombed out or still living in third world status with no prospects for development, so that America was the only possible game in town AND we had a vastly different regulatory structure that allowed us to develop industrial and capital base so many of those wealthy individuals could and did shelter their money right here by re-investing it in their own business ventures. How do you think we got rivers we could set on fire and other hyper-polluted sites?

These days we can neither develop that base nor re-invest in factories like they used to which is why all that money and those jobs goes overseas to other countries which are now developed enough to compete for with us like they weren't able to post-WWII, circa 1950s in the so-called tax Golden Age Bernie remembers because he was actually in his prime then.

Color me curious....
are you advocating that we further "bomb out" those countries so that they can't keep up - so that they are back (and perpetually) in third world status - so that they will still live in third world status, and then the "American oligarchs and military" (who bombed them to begin with) can step in and relieve them of their 'third world status' that was created and then perpetuated by bombing them under oligarchy and military presence
in the first place?
Yeah -
so ..... Christian. So.... empathetic and compassionate.

So....do who in the what now?????

That's insane.

erm.....no.

That's the primal urge of capitalists who want to exploit other Primates who aren't well-enough-off to defend themselves and who obviously have to slave away to eat and have shelter.....

And then - the capitalists, well, they don't give a crap.....and watch like vultures. Screw the 'lesser Primates'. They don't deserve to live. And by NO MEANS should they be given adequate wages, or housing, or opportunities....!!!! NO EFFING WAY!!!

You are one very confused person.

Actually, I think the ad is working exactly as intended.

Claire McCaskill did the exact same thing to Tod Akin when she was running for senate out of Missouri.

This ad was funded by the guy who was Scott Walker's biggest backer, up until he dropped out of the race.

Now he thinks the GOP has a better chance in the general election if Bernie Sanders is their opponent, so he's running this ad disguised as an attack on Bernie when in reality, it's designed to have the opposite effect.

I heard that Claire McCaskill already called out the guy running this ad on Twitter, specifically for using her old "Tod Akin" tactic. She told him, "I see exactly what you're doing....."

I have a feeling that by the time it's all said & done, they're gonna be wishing they hadn't underestimated the Bernie Sanders movement/revolution.
