At work yeaterday a friend of mine was talking about a past Discovery Channel on something called RODS in wich the military was dumping loads of money into . He said its some organism wuch moves like 300 mph . Does anyone have info on this

Its pretty much been discredited by everybody. Most if not all pictures have been proved to be insects or such. I was pretty interested myself till I researched further, even bought a book on them. The Sci-Fi Channel did a good program on them in proof positive.

I haven't heard anything about military research into them and don't really see why they would.

RODS were thought to be a small (usually) life form caught only in pictures set on low speeds. Most analysts agree that its just flying insets caught in blurred pictures

When i sneeze, I am quite sure some bacteria hit my screen with that speed

.. who knows, maybe kosmic radiation making bubble trails in the film emulsion of peoples cameras, or out of focus nearby insects, small shrimps (underwater).

Oh dear lord not the Rods again.

Depending on what pic of a rod you're looking at.... it's one of the following.

1.) the camera strap
2.) an insect covering a small distance in the time the shutter is open
3.) dust on the lense
4.) you going crazy
