How is Trumps dads view on race relevant to today?

I'm not sure where CNN wants to go with this, I'm assuming housing, sub prime mortgage by inference.
The percentage of home ownership has gone down almost 4 percent under Obama, interest rates and banking are relevant topics.

Possibly because the banks were slapped in the head and told to not give mortgages to people that they know will not be able to afford to pay? To not push mortgages that have hidden balloons or changing interest rates? Possibly because banks paid billions in fines and the class action suits still continue?

Trump's father has baggage. Trump himself has baggage. Bad financial baggage. I glanced at the article earlier, I am guessing the end has a point?

www.washingtonpost.com...

Here read about it.

Yes, I've read that piece. One of the issues it mentions is the aging population, as I stated previously. I don't see any statistics on migrant "devaluation".

It's been discussed at length here for a long time and claiming ignorance as a regular reader is unacceptable in my eyes.

I couldn't care less what you do or do not find acceptable. It is not my job to please you.

Again, I will ask what policies does Trump have laid-out to combat these issues and put "Blacks" back to work? We can go back and forth but I asked for specifics regarding Trump.

The unemployment number is complete bull# and if your seriously on ATS trying to pass that # off, your in the wrong place.

That is true.

Tackling The Real Unemployment Rate: 12.6%

www.forbes.com...

However, I believe the true unemployment numbers would be around 20%

What actually matter is the labor participation rate.

If your seasoned member here you have no excuse to not know that.

New members, totally get it.

You don't need statistics for migrant devaluation it's right in your face.

Why don't you go to a construction site in any state in the south and take a look for yourself?

Do you ever go to a candidate's official website and read what their positions are on various issues and what policies they plan to implement to accomplish their goals?

You always want somebody else to do your research for you because your first reaction to any opposing argument is to....well, argue rather than stop, breathe, and look something up on your own.

Ok, let's try this another way. For the sake of argument, I will concede on all the points you have tried to make.

What specific policies and programs has Trump proposed that will solve our economic problems, specifically putting black people back to work?

My confidence with Trump is in his ability to negotiate(with congress), his experience in international business, and his ability to execute.

It has often been said that the unemployment numbers are off. Unemployment numbers count those receiving Unemployment benefits and those identified as unemployed based on social services statistics, federal and county 'back to work programs' and Disability benefits.
Most can be counted. I will say again...most can be counted.
There are a number of people who stopped looking for work, and cannot be counted in any other way. The discrepancy is NOT that big. If you are unemployed, you can get Snap benefits as soon as 4 days. These people report their income or lack thereof, employment status or lack thereof. People on cash benefits certainly report their employment status. If they are in school, they are mainly expected to seek at least part time employment.

There are not that many people where there is no way to include them in the unemployed number.

There are the 'underemployed' , as in they work 15-20 hours a week and hop for more or they don;t hope for more. Either way, they do get counted as employed.

Yes. I have read his site. It does not talk about how he is going to pay for his proposals, not does it talk about certain repercussions.

Ummmm, I don't recall Trump EVER saying he wanted to put "Black People" back to work! Any specific source to make anyone believe in what you are selling?

Please explain the decline in the labor participation rate.

How is it possible for there to be less people working than has been working since 1970's, and at the same time, unemployment be at 5%?

How is it possible?

Trump is the ultimate capitalist. He will do nothing to change the immigrant cheap labor practices for American Corporations.

He employs immigrants in his businesses as well. Profit is free enterprise.

www.businessinsider.com...

He is a total genius at pandering and knowing the perfect thing to say to win converts. But doing the opposite himself.

“Look, the African Americans love me because they know I am going to bring back jobs,” he told me at the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas.

It's in the OP's source.

Donald Trump can't seem to fathom how people wouldn't love him.

Every time he's asked about ANY group in particular, his standard response is "oh, they love me".

The guy is delusional. I'd think Donald Trump would make an exceptional example of a psychiatrist's case study on delusions.

Your placing your faith on something someone's says then in their actual skill set?

Everything I lost are skills required for business managed and run at the level he's been running them at.

I'm not voting for a career politician. Period.

I'm voting for someone who has accomplished his goals and execute plans for his entire life. That's what matters.

The amount of the retired population has gone up and keeps going up. They are living on pensions, disability or a combination of different benefits. My mother is 63. She is retired. People in her age group of about 58-68 is higher than it was in the 70s. She is not counted as 'unemployed'.

Some younger people with 2 or 3 kids, single mothers a lot of them, have returned to school. In NY they get up to 4 years of cash benefits. Depending on the county they may have to seek a part time job or not, based on how much child care costs, which is also a social services benefit. They are not counted as 'unemployed' as they are engaged in education.

There are lots of reasons for this. Changing demographics.

The US has financial baggage as well with all the banksters gambling on inflated returns from sub-prime mortgages.
Trumps clean escape from his gambling empire troubles is a perfect allegory.

You expect Obama to come in at the last minute, upend their tables and cleanse the temple of commerce?

May, just be able to teach Washington a thing or two about spending, savings, and paying their bucking fills once and a while.....

you forgot ,.... Donald Trump wasn't able to make money from a CASINO, but is touted as a "Brilliant businessman".

The Government is apparently floundering, if you listen to the far right, and their prescription is to install someone who has no idea as to how Government runs as President?

If The Donald was to take over a floundering business, do you think he would even consider someone who has no experience running a business to take over the project for him?

He's fired people on "The Apprentice" simply because they don't have a college degree in business.
