Well.. Interesting video. The first few seconds of the video made me think!

I'm not really anti cop as much as I am pro accountability. I believe our system is outdated and DAs are police departments have to justify budgets and keep prisons full. They also have to enforce bull# laws and fight a war they know they can't win, aka the drug war. So it's a messed up situation for everyone on both sides.

Anyway...

Interesting little video!

What do ya think?

We all know what you want to say anyway. We need to be prepared for the worst next step.
You people are the worst next step and we are prepared.
When you outrage we don't need any weapons.
We take the first thing to defend us we can groap.

And then the thread is either gone or has won.

No need to tell me, that you want to be that threat. I rather would consider you as a friend.

Honestly? I thought so.

Thus is the problem in most of these threads. I hope there are some oldies, helping the newcomers aboard.

We had some years without any help I see. Maybe this can be corrected.

most of those, happened so fast that there was no way to tell if they were going to pull a weapon or not.
it wouldn't be to much of a stretch for people to say that, if cops came out with guns already drawn would be alright right.

Everybody who thinks he needs a gun will not react in a normal situation. So we always will be doomed if we don't know how to react without a gun.

It is simply a question of how we react to an abnormal situation.

Those gun-fellowers won't be of any help if we don't react right. And nobody knows how we react right or wrong,

In those situations, there's no way to know, or react, until the bullets are coming your way.

Too fast for anyone to know.

things cops know, but most people don’t

Of course it went off. What did you expect would happen when you pulled the trigger?
The gun isn’t to protect you, It is to protect me.
Do unto others, but do it first.
You are not the first person to see a cop and say "Take him, he did it," "I didn’t do it," or to tell your kid, "If you don’t behave, that cop will put you in jail." You probably aren’t even the first one to say that today.
You have, however, caused the officer to mentally label you as a moron.

You can’t talk your way out of a ticket. Lots of people talk themselves into one.
Even though you say differently, you probably don’t know your rights.
Yes, you very well may see them in court. They get paid overtime to be there, win or lose.

The videos drive the point across that police never know when they're life is going to be in danger. They never know when a criminal is going to come out with guns blazing. It's a dangerous job, and I'm sure they're under a lot of stress by the time their shift is over. I surely wouldn't want a job where I would always wonder if I would make it home to my family at the end of the day. Being married to a police officer must also be extremely stressful.

Go to Germany and ask the locals if they feel like they need guns now or not.

How's Switzerland anyway?

I believe that in states that allow concealed carry or open carry, Police should assume that any suspect is armed.

I don't agree that Police should shoot to kill, but given the current situation in that there are more weapons than people, if the state allows citizens to carry weapons on their person, police should always assume they're carrying, even if there is no evidence to support this.

It has been proven time and time again that if you carry a gun, you're more than 6 times more likely to have that gun used against you if you're a victim of crime.

These types of videos highlight the fact that being armed or unarmed is not the most important factor. What's most important is getting the "jump" on the other person.

The first person to act is at a greater advantage than the one that must react.

That's a very disturbing video.

One question: When a perpetrator is directly in front of the police car, why can't the LEO drop down behind the dashboard and gun the accelerator? Road pizza can't pull a trigger.

I've got to take a break now to see if I can purge that video from my mind.
