Western Canada is sick & tired of being lumped in with liberal Canada. We support the war in Iraq, we love America & Britian. We hate France, Quebec, & Eastern Ontario. We will eventually seperate from the rest of Canada.
B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, The North West territories, & the Yukon all cannot stand the Ontario & quebec, let alone the welfare provs in Eastern Maritime Canada.
We don't support the gun registry!
We don't like how Toronto & Quebec seem to represent Canada's view on things. The Western Canadian Liberation Front is growing. Canada will soon split, even Newfoundland & Labrador stopped flying Canadian flags. Ottawa has got to go.
We want an elected Senate.
King Ralf for president of Western Canada

When ever westerners disagree with Central canada we get called rednecks & hillbillies, & racists, we are tired of it. We want to have a powerfull military.

Yes, JSO, that thought can cross a man's mind from time to time.


She's pretty darned smart for a Canadian, and she's also very nice. And, she has a web site and you can listen to her talk show on the computer! She and the rest of Western Canada might lead Canada as a whole out of the dark ages.

Did I read correctly?.....you want to split up Canada...you crazy man?

Then in the second breath you talk about a "powerfull" army...to suite...man y'r way out t'a lunch (in my view).

I was born here in this great country of ours.....and luv this place with all my heart....(even the red-neck of the West)...and that is what makes this country so great....because of people like you.

Plus have you not heard......US is taking Canada soon....hee...hee.

But you do have some points thow......it does look like it's getting worse.....but what we expect with Martin in charge.....the wish'y wash'y butt head....we need someone who will take a stand on things (even if not the popular view of the people)....so maybe that's the real problem...the leader?

King Ralf is the Premier of Alberta, he took a broke down province and turned it to an economic powerhouse. Albertans have the highest standard of living in the world. He should run all of Canada. He makes welfare people get jobs, taxes fairly and has no provincial sales tax. He keeps the gov't nose out of buisiness and opened up Alberta to privitization like the U.S. Saskatchewan could even be richer as they have twicw the resources but Thye have comunist NDP running that prov.
And once again Central Canada calls us rednecks. eh Sven?

While I understand the bitterness of Western Canada, especially with the preponderance of elected polititians coming from Quebec as well as the destructive force of the National Energy Program, your post makes me more than a little nervous.

I have lived in Calgary, Alberta, Yellowknife in the NWT and have relatives in both those places as well as B.C.

Tell me how this seperation is any different from the silly attempts by the Bloc to garnish cash and Federal sympathy. Every time I think of Quebec seperation, I think of Gilles Duceppe in his little plastic hat. He seemed like a comic book idiot trying to break up a country for his own petulant reasons.

Ralph Klein is no great mind either, IMO, and has made quite a few little boo boos in his day. You sure you want to remember him as the one who seperated Canada into pieces?

There's always polititians who, for whatever reasons, make complete fools of themselves. Mel Lastman comes to mind with his refusal to go to Africa because he might "wind up in a kettle".

What it all boils down to, in the end, is a 'joining with the U.S.A.'

While it makes absolutely no sense with the notion of Quebec seperation because they would certainly lose their special status as a 'French' country within the U.S.A., the difference with the West is that they would immediately fit right in.

Canada certainly seems to be going through some difficult times...now that Williams, preemie of Newfoundland, has struck the Fedral flag from his buildings.

I suppose it's only a matter of time before we're all absorbed.

Sounds like the people of Western of Canada should secede and form their own government or join the U.S. as soverign states.

You guys need to come up with a document along the lines of our Declaration of Independence:

Souljah, not one Canadian has even mentioned N. Korea in this thread. Why are you saying that they want to "Nuke N. Korea"?

First time I ever heard a Canadian say they hate Eastern Canada and wants to seperate (except Quebec). Sounds to me like you are just an angry person, maybe you should take up smoking some of the BC Big Bud and relax a bit.

I'd flame you, but whether you hate me or not you're still a fellow Canadian, so I wont.

dk1...I've been hearing talk about Western Seperation ever since the Trudeau years, when he began the National Energy Program during the seventies. It's nothing new, believe me.

I lived in Calgary during the sixties, before the NEP, and even then it was the same, where the regular person on the street had a beef about Eastern polititians.

There has been a simmering discontent between regions for as long as I can remember. I believe it's a case of a very large landmass being governed by a very small area (Ottawa/Montreal). I certainly was hopeful that the Reform Party under Manning could have broken that regionalism, but when Manning was deposed and Stockwell Day showed up on my TV in a wetsuit riding a Seadoo on Okanagan, I just shook my head and watched another dream go to hell.

Please, Canada...come up with a great polititian...I'm so sick of these losers I always have vote out...

Dear fellow friend,

I do see y'r points (that's why I luv USA) and I see the points of others.

But in my mind and from what I've seen and heard....this war is about $ and oil, not for the Freedom Fighters of G. Washington.

And make no mistake about it...th'r not cowards...it is us...sitting at home in our luxury homes in front of the computer...yes that's right...y'r the coward (and me just as much)and souljar 2, we are the cowards for not doing enough to help.

so guess w'r all wrong...in....a....way....but all kind'a right....but as always, it's only _od who is right (and how we think our simple view could even compare to the hole picture).

Lets all agree on one thing......we all love eachother....no matter what we think and what ever happens...let's work for that...then we all win.

Being from NS and having lived coast to coast, with stops in between, I just couldn't let this go. "Welfare Provinces"? How old are you mate? Nova Scotia didn't have any problems economically until the 80's when OUR fishery was sold away to benefit the rest of the country. We had an amazing standard of living. Take away a resource that is instumental to the ecomony, to shore up treaties, and the rest of the country has benefitted from our loss.

Would you like a little cheese to go with your whine? Am I bitter at this? Damn right. I have to live in Ontario so that I can provide for my family. How far did you have to move to do the same?
