Sometimes I wish I had continued my university education. Was in North american archaeology as well.

The person who gets this position is going to have one hell of a track record and reputation... and maybe a little 'whistle-blower' blood in them too?

This has already been established, the claim that the Smithsonian is involved in a cover up was invented by David Hatcher Childress in an article he wrote in the 1980s to explain why none of his claims had any supporting evidence.
