I can be an arrogant narcissistic c arse hole.
Me and trump are likely very much alike.

And I would hate to see someone like me as a leader of the world’s most powerful country.
People like me should stay away from politics

Most people have these tendencies so you are not alone. The reason Trump is doing so well is he is the reflection of how most of the world is.

And it is well known that most politicians are like this Trump just doesn't hide his tendencies, he airs them out for everyone to see.

It's easy to remember and tell the truth, even if it sucks, or it's subjective.

And the first step to solve, or realizing a problem is to see, admit, and acknowledge it. Maybe Trump is exactly what we need to see the errors of our ways.

Kind of like holding a mirror up and seeing that we are narcissistic A-hole's

Guys....

Do you think any Americans realise that the rest of the world is laughing at them right now for seriously considering Trump as a presidential candidate.

Believe me. There are quite a few Americans who realize this very well. Though as you are seeing with this thread. Trump supporters wear that ridicule as a badge of honor.

No they don't, they are laughing way harder at, and have a lot less fear than you who wear the , " I don't believe in conspiracies" and the " I am unable to adjust to new things, and want things to stay the same forever" .

Face it, people who hate on the Trump are negative, and scared.

And these are the same people who tell us that everything wrong is down to greed and incompetence.

They can't believe even for one second this guy can do better than the last 20 presidents combined, and these are the same people who say they believe in Evolution and hate religions!

They are just as religious as the Fearful Christians!

Exactly. Thanks for adding absolutely nothing to this thread. In fact, I do not think I have seen a comment about what the OP is actually about except one lone post.

To be clear my point is this.

I actually believe your OP i think Trump could very well win the nomination in a landslide.

Its just that for the rest of the world the idea of Trump becoming president is as funny as Bush becoming president. Twice.

What makes it funny to you, all the while ignoring your own pathetic governments.

I guess your media is all you care about, you are as owned as the American public but want to believe differently.

I am not laughing.

I am deeply sad, not for myself or my nation, but for all nations. This man will take the nation that much of the world once had great respect for, and rape it for profit, whore it out like a streetwalker to the highest bidder, while using force to do the job of diplomacy, and when that fails to please him, when he has already played both pimp and john to every stretch of land on the globe, he will set it all on fire, just for the pleasure of watching it burn. The man is morally retarded, megalomaniacal, and egotistical beyond belief. The only thing that makes for is a good criminal. It does not make for a good president. He will divide nation against nation, neighbour against neighbour, brother against brother, and there will never be peace as long as he sits in power.

And meanwhile, those who wanted to free their nation by riding the errant strands of his toupee will either knuckle under and take whatever scraps they are thrown, or be bludgeoned aside by Trump zealots, with cudgels and automatic weapons, never allowing themselves to admit that they were wrong in either case, or weeping because they were.

I do not laugh. I only prepare.

You are about 100 years too late....that happened long ago friend.

My mind is blown in regards to people thinking this is something that is "coming".

No, I do not think they are laughing at us. They are scared. The international community know who he is. A shrewd, cutthroat business man who gets things done. He is not a politician that can be bought and bend over. I am sure they are worried that their foreign aid is going to dry up as he has promised.

No the UK is laughing at him.

We haven't much to be scared only laugh.

Balderdash, UK laughing is always a coverup, I have many British friends, who btw all came to Canada.

I think Trump is going to do well among the silent majority, people who normally don't express their opinions publicly and those who don't usually vote but will be coming out to the polls this election. It's going to be quite a surprise when it happens.

Like it or not eggheads, Trump is tapping a deep vein of discontent in the US. It doesn't matter that he doesn't have any realistic policies or that he appeals to scapegoaters and fantasists. He is a faith healer, preaching to the faithful. The only concrete example of a policy that has come from Donald Trump, that I can think of, is his pledge to build a wall along the border with Mexico. His followers believe that is a realistic solution to the problem of illegal immigration.

Not one person that I am aware of has asked him, How deep does he intend to build the wall?

Building a wall is the kind of policy that takes us back to the Ming Dynasty in China. It didn't work then and it won't work now, but that never occurs to the average Trump supporter. Trump followers are "magical thinkers". Facts and practicality don't matter to them. They want someone to lash out for them at imagined enemies.

Trump is not a departure from the traditions of American politics so much as the last vestige of an older style of jingoism. America's future doesn't lie in that kind of thinking. America is not in trouble. America is hampered by a ruling class that has run out of ideas. Trump is right on that score, but the problem is that Trump himself has no ideas either.

Nah, more like he'll get crushed in the general election. The silent majority you're referring to is only a "majority" of the right wing. And since the far right wing doesn't count left wing Americans & most moderate Americans as "real Americans", it's not surprising that they don't take our positions into consideration.

So yeah, he can very well win the Republican nomination. Might even do it convincingly. But he's alienated most of the rest of the country. And there's no way to walk back his over the top statements, much less mend the bridges he's intentionally burned with our communities.

I think that's wishful thinking. Look at the general discontent among supporters of both parties and the fact that his numbers are double digits over the other candidates and are only going up.

The people are sick of career politicians they can't identify with, Trump appeals to the masses because he is loud, uncouth and an outsider that stands apart from the other establishment candidates.

The fact is the general public cares more about pro-wrestling then politics and this is the reason Trump is doing so well and will continue to do so.

Once again, those assertions have nothing to do with Hispanic American voters, African American voters, LGBT voters, Muslim American voters, American environmentalists, Americans who are against war & the MIC (like me), progressive & liberal Americans, Americans in unions, and socialist Americans. And that clearly doesn't account for the extreme far-left, which has actual communists in it.

So yes, there is general discontent at both major parties & their establishments. But the concerns are for vastly different reasons, which explains both Bernie & Trump's huge followings. But you're only setting yourself up for disappointment if you think the American demographics I just listed are going to vote for Trump in the general election. And that doesn't even include the Republicans that are still against Trump, like the ones the OP is referring too.

Hardcore right wing rhetoric only works in the Republican primaries because it fires up the conservative base. But it always has to be toned down in the general election because the majority of American's aren't conservatives. But Trump's words are so over the top that he won't be able to mend the bridges he's intentionally burned. And if he did try to, his base would likely consider him a sellout, a liar, or a traitor.

According to the latest polls Trump is doing well among demographics the PC crowd would consider to be anti-right wing.

Donald Trump will likely mention a poll showing him leading among Hispanics in Florida. A warning.

The fact is Trump employs tens of thousands of people, including a lot of minorities and is one of the best candidates when it comes to LGBT rights.

Again the reason he is so popular is because he stands apart from the traditional conservatives in his party.

Donald Trump Is the Most Pro-Gay Republican Presidential Candidate

Trump Companies Employ More Female Execs Than Male

Trump has never hidden his support for gay civil rights laws. In 2000, he declared that he supported gay anti-discrimination laws and the repeal of “don’t ask, don’t tell.” He also advocated for “a very strong domestic-partnership law that guarantees gay people the same legal protections and rights as married people.” His book, released that same year, wistfully described his dream of an America “unencumbered by … discrimination against people based on sexual orientation.”

But of course Clinton is going to garner the most support from minorities considering her ties to the Obama administration and the Democrats history of Amnesty.

ENOUGH ALREADY

Are you incapable of having a conversation without resorting to acting like a five year old in a schoolyard and throwing around pointless and stupid territorial pissing comments?

In fact - are any of you?

This is a discussion about a man who may very well turn out to be the POTUS, in charge of arguably the worlds most technologically advanced country, with the largest active military and the largest active nuclear arsenal and all you want to do is lay off cheap shots because your ego can't handle the fact that other people might be slightly concerned about the candidate/critical of your country?

Can't anyone actually have an intelligent conversation any more?

I was against the idea of Trump as a presidential candidate, but gained a lot of respect from him when he called out out the rest of the candidates for taking money from him and big business interests. I think he could do well, though I doubt I'll vote for him because I like Bernie.

And then there's this old interview with Oprah:

Guys....

Do you think any Americans realise that the rest of the world is laughing at them right now for seriously considering Trump as a presidential candidate.

Just like when George Bush was re-elected to the rest of the world this whole soap opera of American politics is a laughing stalk.

"Lets give everyone guns so they can go around shooting each other but lets also make them pay for health care and while we're at it how about we vote a TV personality as our president."

Honestly this is a joke.

Idiocracy was not a documentary!

Oh I see, because the world is laughing at us we should cower down and vote for even more of the same destructive policies that brought us to this point? From what i see in Europe the politicians there are destroying the very fabric of European life that centuries of history and culture built up.And what for? To accommodate millions of rude and demanding refugees who are mostly young able-bodied mooches looking for a hand out and a blond Euro to rape.
So keep laughing fool,if you guys over there disapprove I think we must be on the right track.
Remember desperate times call for desperate measures. Political correctness needs to end and we need to identify people for what they are, whether thats illegal alien, or Islamic terrorists.
God help us if we ever get to the point where you people are in England, letting a Pakistani rape gang flourish for years raping thousands of your native born children as every last coward that suspected wrong doing looked the other way for fear of being called a racist. My god. The lady that finally reported the sickos was remanded to sensitivity training because she described them as Asian and middle eastern.
So thanks! You keep laughing while we get our # together over here, because that means we're on the right track. You brainwashed zombies are our parakeets in the mine shaft. When your condescending laughter stops and you start patting us on the back, we'll know we're off course.
