FBI reports 1 suspect dead, 1 injured in shootout that followed Eufaula bank robbery

Wow. Just wow. This is a terrible story and from what I gather the president of the Bank was killed in another shot the bank robber is deceased. It's hard to imagine that people think they can even get away with bank robberies with today's age technology cameras and alarm systems. I guess it just goes to show that desperate times desperate measures. A very sad story in a nice little community that nothing ever happens in......

FBI says a chase ensued following the robbery at the Bank of Eufaula located at 102 N. Main Street around 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

FBI officials are assisting in the investigation. So far, they say a shootout occurred between authorities and the two suspects following the chase. They went on to say that one of the suspects is dead as result of the shootout and the other has been taken to a hospital.
