No, not targeting you.

By and large we're all hypocrites who pick and choose who we use as authoritative voices. We agree with science when it suits us and dismiss scientists when they conflict with our beliefs.

We'll accept any popular figure if they concur with our world-view.

Actually, a few years ago I researched DiCaprio and his environmental efforts.

Its true many do it for the photo-op. But, Leo is a legit activist from what I can tell, from what I've read.

Me, I think climatology is an insanely complicated thing that I know just enough about to know I don't have a good understanding of it.

So I suspect he doesn't either.

And I'm not sure a lot of climatologists do either.

My opinion is that clean air and water are worthy enough goals that the agw argument is moot, so it doesn't matter a lot, except that it's a political tool.

Can't trust those scientists need an actor.

Can't trust those politicians need a celebrity.

People are funny!

Mistrust seems to reflect ill character more in the observer than the observed.

I tend to trust people to be as they are and move on.

I trust Leo to be an actor and put on a good show.
