A feminist would definitely not be interested in any man that fears equality for women. A feminist would be bored to death with a weak man.

I'm not afraid.
I'm a feminist.

Is that why any woman can take any man to court (esp. with a child), rob him of everything, and end up with the equivalent of 3 paychecks? If you're a good feminist, and they are a bad feminist, then there are more bad feminists setting the bar for you guys. At the end of the day, a white witch and an evil witch are both a witch.

Seems you choose the wrong women.

That's on you.

Not getting off that easy.

In the United States, researchers estimate that 40%–50% of all first
marriages, and 60% of second marriages, will end in divorce. (source below)

Women are the predominate initiators of these divorces. This means that, this is a trend...not an isolated event. Let's ponder for a moment, to ask ourselves...what is there to gain here...and who benefits?

yeah, I would say this is a credible source:

So what?

Make better choices.

Exactly dude, stop blaming women, and start being discerning in your relationships...it's empowering, truly...

So I simply asked the question so posters like yourself use statements without official statistics backing it up?.

Posters "like myself" use common sense and point out the obvious. It goes a long way. I think the evidence I provided just now is pretty solid.

You were implying that this other poster was representing the group of gun owners that do the largest part of the killing in the US, namely the criminals, the illegal gun owners.

You were basically saying that it is part her fault that so many people get shot and killed in the US, because she legally owns a gun.

Which is backwards reasoning.

A fair warning in advance: I will oversimplify matters a bit, to get my point across.

Firstly, it's not a matter of "a man chooses a woman" - it's mostly just the other way around. Most women pick testosterone filled men because they find them attractive - but these attractive guys often make bad life partners. But hey, who's to blame the women - the guy they selected is attractive, strong, healthy, has a high sex drive - I can dig why the lady does what she does. But it's often the wrong choice if you're looking for a co-parent - and older women (say: 30+) know this and typically select partners that may be less male, perhaps even less attractive, but make better life partners.

Now, you may think that men also have a say in it - of course. They respond to the signals given by women and can (and often will) decide not to engage. But they are initially mostly driven by hormones, and it's safe to say that if a woman likes a man and she's not ugly as a bear, she'll get what she wants.

So, to say that it's a man's choice - nah.

But even if you're a wise woma and selected the proper guy and all is good and fine afterwards: people change constantly and the right choice made at 21 might turn into a bad mistake at 40. Yeah, in some cases the man grows into a beast, rapist and drunkard - but that are exceptions. In most cases, the partners simply gradually drift apart until they are both on a different island and the divorce is merely a confirmation of the status quo.

But .. yes, it's a fact: even in those cases, the woman gets mostly payed by the man after a divorce, not the other way around. The entire idea of equality is fought for by women if they think their rights are in danger, but immediately left by most women if they are able to squeeze some money out of their former partners.

I don't like that. Many men and women don't like it either, but I've been around for a while, like you, and I know this is still what happens: in most cases the men must bleed for the mistakes of both.

Again, I have oversimplified matters a bit to get my point across, but yes, this is actually how it is in large parts of the Western world.

So, with all due respect: men ARE indeed often victims of divorces.

Right, not a shred of rensentment there.

This is all very revealing.

It means something like "hello, my friend".

ETA: but it's a bit like "shoganai" - which could be translated with "that's life", but actually has a far deeper meaning for Japanese. Kia kaha als bears significant more meaning that just "hello" or "may you become strong" (which is the literal translation of it), as it is part of a culture that couples events and meaning to it, and if you're not part of that culture, most of the meaning is lost to you.

Ahhhh....This perverted old man 'imam' doesn't deserve the thought space in the heads of you good people.

Obviously he's a frustrated bitter nobody whose trying to get some attention by going on an obscure Russian station to ramble venom laced gibberish.

He hates women. He hates girls. He hates white men. He hates Christians. He hates Jews. He hates black men. probably hates dog....

Saw this on another site...like the common sense here:

Thanks to Mark Steyn ......

"I am reminded of the words spoken by British General Napier who, in a much earlier time, was faced with a problem confronting British control in India. The problem was the Hindu practice of "suttee" — the grisly tradition of burning widows on the funeral pyres of their husbands.

Gen. Sir Charles Napier was impeccably multicultural, but in a far more positive manner than multiculturalism is practiced today. The general told his Indian interlocutors:

"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well! We also have a custom. When men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks, and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre. Beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."

Anyone familiar with German penalties for rape?

That's actually a really good post.

But, "men driven by sex" (even if true) is still an excuse. The same excuse the Iman is using.

Men can choose to use their big head.

As far as getting married young? That's a choice too.

BTW -- I have personally made all the mistakes. It was later in life when I discovered "choice". But, I do come from the 50s, a time before women's rights/equality. I'm personally attracted to intelligence and integrity, with a solid on the ground build. Give me a very advanced, soft hearted Neanderthal

You haven't provided any evidence. You have simply made statements without backing it up.

I said she lives in a country were people are 10x more likely to be killed than Germany, she needs that gun to protect herself from other gun owners. I didn't say legally or illegally owned.

You already brought this up, and I said I'm not criticising her for gun ownership. I recognise the USA has problems with guns. Hell, if I lived in the US I'd want to protect myself.

We seem to be going around in ciricles here.

Again. It is a simple question. Where is the evidence that backs up your statement that "the vast majority of murders are committed with illegally owned guns?" in the US?

You have a big problem that you need to work on, stop harassing me for attention, after this post I will not address your posts anymore until you learn to be more civilized.

I have no bad feelings against you, but your hostility is becoming very apparent and disgraceful.

Right now the world is watching my country and especially my home town. I have a lot of friends from the ME and Turkey. All are suspects now somehow. You even asked to castrate some youths, who just dropped in here, knowing nothing about our culture but the porn we deliver to them via the internet. Nobody would have the idea to do this to some youngsters of our own folks. If somebody wants to cut off people's body parts, maybe he or she is better off with the IS.

If I referred to your background I only wanted to have the same measures for those people, who live here since the third generation. Right now some clubs started to ban foreigners. I wonder how many Americans could be banned from these clubs, because they just look "foreign". Sometimes hate is like a boomerang.

Btw.: It is against the basic laws over here to discriminate a whole group, just because some misbehave, or even act against the law.

I understand your feelings more than you think, but sometimes is hard to reason when somebody feels angered by what goes on around them I am no exempt from this anger either, I am not a young girl I have two adult children and my husband is a former Marine, come from a long family of service men that have no only serve but died for this country.

I am Puertorrican but of mix background from Italian to African and Spaniard, most people here in ATS in all the years I been a member knows by now,PR are born American citizens, I grew up in my Island and my first language is Spanish.

Due to marrying an all American Marine I have been residing in the US since early 80s, never have felt racially targeted or mistreated at all in my life here, I guess I am one of those that do not let anybody put me down and it shows in my face.

I also can see the racial divisions here in the south, been all over the US from California to NY and Florida, we may be a nation but each state is different depending on the majority of citizens background.

So far the south is one of the most divided state I have ever seen.

Discrimination is a big issue in the US also.

I think a lot of non-Americans try to homogenize America. Probably same as a lot of Anericans try to homogenize the ME.

America is extremely diverse -- even from city to city. A few miles can make a HUGE difference.

And suddenly we can talk to each other. We are all human beings and we have to give those refugees a chance to integrate. A fool who thought this was possible at the first contact. They need time, we need time.

If we are angry with someone than we should be angry with those stupid suit wearers who think, they can sit back and relax, because they get their monthly cheque anyways. We have a LOT OF PROBLEMS right now. We must find solutions. But those idiots are still discussing about the possibilities to start working.

It does not matter - to come back to this Imam who said something stupid or not - what one person says. It only matters what we all do. We are the ones who build the future of our children. We can waste our time by quarreling in forums with each other or start being part of the developement.

As I said before: I am still confident, that my country will be a pioneer in all the new conquests.
