Strange and revealing thing happened the other night when the Democrat debate aired on NBC.

Seems more people were watching the TV Madam Secretary show on CBS !!!

And a lot more watched the NFL game too !!!

Funny thing about the TV show Madam Secretary.

Having left her job as a CIA analyst for ethical reasons, newly appointed Secretary of State Elizabeth McCord returns to public life at the request of the president, after the suspicious death of her predecessor. Valued by her boss for her apolitical leanings, knowledge of the Middle East, language skills and creative thinking, Elizabeth drives international diplomacy, battles office politics and circumvents protocol, while negotiating national and international issues. At home, politics and compromise take on new meaning with her supportive husband and two bright kids.

about 'Madam Secretary'
^^^ sounds too familiar !!!

Maybe people know more than the DNC thinks they know !!

Sunday night's Democratic debate had 8.72 million viewers, according to Nielsen. But 11.34 million people watched CBS's Madam Secretary, which aired at the same time. Over 20 million watched CBS's 60 Minutes. The NFL playoff game, which aired at 7pm E.S.T, had over 40 million viewers.

The debate was held on a holiday weekend, following NFL playoffs. The prior Democratic debate was held on the last Saturday night before Christmas, the day after Star Wars: The Force Awakens was released, while the Jets played the Cowboys.

Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz has claimed, "I did my best to make sure, along with my staff and along with our debate partners, to come up with a schedule that we felt was going ... to maximize the opportunity for voters to see our candidates."

I've been of the opinion that since the first Demoncrat debate, the scheduling has and will be about "hiding Killary."

Sounds like people prefer pretend-Hilary over the actual-Hilary.

I'd prefer a real root canal over the real Hillary.

From what I understand, the democrat debate circled around who would tax more, who would have the most socialist government, and who would take the most guns away from people.

Not a very popular platform.

This is the DNC playing it's role very well.

They don't want people at large to see Bernie. They want them focused on hillary. So they schedule debates during the nights where there are the lowest TV viewership, at bad hours and with hardly any kind of media push to get people involved.

DNC Chair knows exactly what they are doing, they are favoring Clinton over Bernie.

The GOP clown car show is much more interesting to watch as well.

It was very humorous for the first 30 min. I really need to revisit the 'live thread feed' , it was hotter than a July day in there

I agree as many do.

The main DNC agenda is to marginalize Sanders.

Major policy contrasts exist between Hillary and Bernie.

In fact, there's more "in common" policies connecting Hillary and Jeb Bush !!!!

The American political parties are in disarray.

Like I said to you yesterday, when Jeb Bush is the MODERATE Rebublican and Hillary is setting herself up as a Left leaning Centrist, we have a huge political program lol

I agree, completely disarray.

That's horrible. I already won't watch MS because it depicts Hillbillary. I watched the debate to so I could point and laugh and gather more ammo, but they seem to schedule it during a big even every time, except this time which is why you know it's bad when MS had more viewers. Championship games, premier openings, etc always seem to be the played at the same time as the DNC Debacles. I figure they do it because they don't want people watching it, they'd rather tell them how to think.

So you are insinuating that CBS created a fantasy world where a woman Secretary of State leads and immaculate and heroic life with the expectation that people relate that false character image to one Hillary Clinton?

They are trying hard to undo her scandalous record.

Not to mention the "actress" looks better than Hillary.

CBS is in league with a hidden Super-Pac for sure.

The Big3andFree networks are the perfect propaganda outlet.

Great controlled opposition to get people to think "automatically" in their favor.

It was only a matter of time before they moved from political short ads to creating shows for time slots.

There is no such thing as live ratings anymore. People can easily watch programming on their schedule these days.

Anyway, TV people want to be entertained and they have short attention spans. When things slow down they grab the clicker and watch what keeps their interest. We can get the necessary sound bites from the news and commentaries.

LOL, the best synopsis of the these debates come from comedy shows!

I haven't watched any of the D or R debates yet in this election cycle.

Did I miss anything?

I heard it was centered around Hillary's bowl movements.
She's sending a big message with that.

You would think the networks know better than to schedule two fake political shows at the same time. What is the difference? Apart from the fact that Madame Secretary doesn't initiate a gag reflex. On the other hand, hillary is great if you are trying to jump-start a vomit...

Strange and revealing? Strange.....no. Its long been my opinion that the 2016 election will ultimately be a very low turnout election.

Revealing? Yea.........people are tired of politics and the more CNN daily covers Nothing But Politics, the more bored they get with politics and the lower CNN's ratings fall.

With each presidential election it seems the choices are ever less palatable; its no wonder interest continues to drop.
