Yes I speak Spanish. Not fluently. I'm born and raised in Los Angeles....3rd Generation.

I'm Portuguese on my Dad's side, so I understand Spanish...

Portuguese is not Spanish. (I had a colleague from Brazil, too - yes, Portuguese and Italian and Spanish are all similar.)

You were saying?

Just that if you are not fluent in Spanish and its many dialects, you ought not be talking about asking "pure Cubans" (or Mexicans, or Central Americans) about things that are beyond your ability to comprehend in their language, and beyond your knowledge of the cultures from which they came.

Oh - and also -
my friend's wife is a 3rd generation Mexican-American. She doesn't speak Spanish.

Is there a point to all of this? Is there something you're actually trying to say?

Inciting Marx and Engles, really put the fear of those red commie sob's into conversation, truly it just makes you look foolish.

It's called fear-mongering! Lol's

Except for the fact that Bernie regurgitates Marx/Engels philosophy and points to CAPITALIST Europe as an aside to make his 'point'...

I sent you a U2U as to not go off topic here as what we were talking about. I think you will find what I sent pretty mind blowing though in regards to the industry so to speak.

Okay, I'll read it, I have to get back to work. Screwing off on ATS when I should be shipping products.

ATS is costing me money.

You know...if companies that are incorporated here in the USA and sell their products in the USA paid a fair tax rate...we probably could afford to cut taxes AND expand services to all citizens.

Additionally, if we stopped running around playing World Police everywhere (giving money, weapons ect) to other countries -- we'd save even more money.

Its not a matter of not having enough money to do awesome things for our own people -- its a matter of spending smart and not allowing the American people to be taken advantage of.

Exactly!

And we should also mention in the union days we had benefits health, dental and retirement.

Since they broke our unions, those things are long gone!

I sure am glad those days are gone, that union crap made Americans weak and lazy, hell it was a bad as pot!!!

Yeah, there's a point.

You are railing against something you don't understand, and holding up other people you (also) don't understand as examples of people who you imagine would shore up your point.

You are mistaken. Not just in that projection onto Spanish-speakers, but regarding Sanders' suggestions.
He is talking about policies that work, and are actively being implemented into the systems in Canada, the UK, Scandinavian countries and others. No one has said that his plan is "pure Socialism" - it isn't.

You know this (if you were really interested in paying attention).

Everyone who knows what Bernie is talking about realizes that there are elements (very strongly supported ones) of capitalism in those systems. That's why it works.

What about that do you not understand?
It's like you're trying to paint Bernie as a "Communist" - when what he is talking about is a combination -
DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISM.

You can get huffy about it every day if you like, but the fact is that no one is saying that Capitalism should be replaced - we are only talking about a long-time-coming common-sense balance of capitalism and social safety nets. Like more advanced countries have.

Lying is an act of desperation, lying is used when one lacks facts.

What scares me is crony capitalism, and oligarchies, which the US of A has become.

Bernie Sanders:

When you have the top 1 percent of the country owning 38 percent of the financial wealth, when you have billionaires now able to contribute unlimited amounts of money into the political process, when you have 95 percent of all new income going to the top 1 percent in recent years, I think one can say that reflects an oligarchic society.

Still don't know what you're rambling about. Just a mish mash of puking in text in my direction.

It all reads as "Blah Blah Blah Spanish....blah Bernie...blah".

Gonna go (for real) now. I can't make heads or tails of your rant.

There are a lot of little details that could reduce that number dramatically or it could even increase a little. My question is what are the other candidates plans?

crickets

Gary Johnson on Budget & Economy

Crickets are better than locusts.

I didn't see one healthcare plan in that article. Let alone one better than Bernie's. I honestly respect your posts because you seem to be informed or well researched usually when posting. But, I honestly have no idea why you replied to my post with that article.

All I took away from it was he would slash all social safety nets by 43%. Just seems very harsh towards our poor and elderly. I'm unsure if that would balance the budget or not. To be honest I'm not an economist. There definitely wasn't a better healthcare plan in that article, which seems to prove my point I was trying to make.

Everyone wants to take a crap on Bernie's plans, with a whole lot of bias and not considering other factors which reduce the costs. What everyone against Bernie's plan isn't doing is supplying another idea on how to fix the current situation.

If I missed your point, please enlighten me.

Just responding to the accusation of no other candidates having a position on these sorts of socioeconomic interventionist policies. That's actually an old article from the last election but, his position is the same for this one:

Start by cutting government.
Proceed with cutting government.
Finish the job by cutting government.

The big challenge after that is to make sure to continue cutting government.

Sorry if I'm not as amiable as usual but, I'm actually feeling better than I have been for the last few days.

Fear mongering at it's finest. So not true.

In fact a couple of the major points are...1. reigning in military spending, but not cutting any Vet benefits. We don't need 700 military bases around the world, like we have now. 2. Any single payer healthcare system would replace Obama Care-any money or taxes paying for Obama Care would be used for a better health care system. 3. He's talking about closing loopholes for the super wealthy and corporations. Loop holes like funding oil and coal companies and corporations that go over seas.

Those three things are where most of those monies come from.

And let's be real. Republican, Independent or Democrat...we all want smaller government and that starts with the bloated federal agencies including the military. We all want health care reform still. and we all hate that corporations, super pacs and big pharma rules our governemnt.

I don't really see a problem here.

AND YET.....not one of those "1%" Bernie speaks of (in his moronic bumper sticker fashion) hurts the average American as much as local, state, and Federal GOVERNMENT.

I saw a picture yesterday of kids from ages 10-15 that worked in a coal mine. They worked 12 hours a day, 6 days a week picking out imperfections of ore on a conveyor belt. Most died before age 30 of black lung.

That was here, in America before unions were formed and workers demanded to be treated as if they had value.

And that, is what it really comes down to. People allow themselves to be devalued. We're seeing it all over again. The propaganda over the last 30 or so years has really worked -- people believe that unions and workers rights are evil, the corporations "bless them" with the opportunity to work.

It's really the other way around; we the people create demand for their crap -- they fill that demand. No demand from us, no sales/profit for them.

We now value and hold up the ability to take advantage of others as some great ideal and goal. The greedier you are, and the more blood you can squeeze from people is somehow admirable. The more profit you can make on the backs of the poverty stricken is seen as a sign of great achievement.

We don't value the individual anymore. We don't demand that our time be worth something, that we as human beings have a right to exist and be paid fairly and compensated for our time. If you are paid $8 an hour and two hamburgers and fries cost $8 -- is that exchange worth it to you? Is two hamburgers and fries worth an hour of your life?

I try to think about that when I make purchases. Is this worth half an hour or hour of my life? It really puts things into perspective when you look at prices and compare it to your wage.

B.S.

Walmart hurts us all! They set wages low and keep their workers in poverty, then all of us pay for that in by subsidizing said workers with welfare.

Off shore hoarding of tens of trillions stifles the economy.

The 1% hurt everyone that are not of the 1%, plain and simply after their hoarding, there is not enough money to go around!!!

I've read more books about Socialism, Austrian economics, Adams School.... than the average Joe.

Up til now I've been very cursory and dumbed it down. If you would like to get into an IN DEPTH debate about the Socialist Model of economics and how Bernie Sanders is parroting tired and FOSSILIZED Marx/Engels theories....while backwardly pointing to CAPITALIST modes of production...while touting the "Middle Class" concern....I'm ALL EARS.

Let's do this...

Name ONE policy Bernie Sanders is touting that is profound, not attempted in history, and has no historical counter point?

Other than his 'Wall Street Tax" and offshore account "tax"...name anything that is nuanced.

FYI, he wants to use those taxes for MORE Government Bureaucracy by way of "Youth Work programs"....yeah...that hasn't been tried and failed. Forget about adults too......."TEH YOOOOTZ NEED TEH MONEEZ"

He's so FAIL it's not even funny. And he will get NOWHERE with Congress. Awesome

No matter that the other candidates are warmonger and would spend trillions on war in the ME and probable S. America too.

Sanders wants to bring back a strong middle class, that can only be done by spending some money. There is plenty of work that needs doing, roads, dams, and new alternative energy, it just needs funding!

Cut the revolving door policies, get our banks under control, add some taxes to Wall street speculators.

What aspect of this scares these people so much???

Fear of change and greed; they might have to pay to help our nation become great again!

Feel the Bern!

Listening to people tout Bernie because "he IZ teh soshulist with gud ideas" is boring and tired. Like visiting a campus of "Anywhere USA" and talking to a bunch of 19 year old "Ethnic Studies" Majors on the quad after a night of boozing and weed.

Jesus Christ already.

Bernie Sanders is an old CHICAGO SCHOOL college graduate who thinks Marx is still relevant in US 2016

What the F********* is it with these Chicago University graduates inundating America with their filth and failure?

God it's like a plague. Please DIE already
