A stunning story is claiming ISIS is cutting their salaries to fighters by 50% !!

Looks like reasons include a mix of Socialism and Capitalism.

Price of oil may be affecting their bottom line as well as tax revenues.

Could be the Russians hitting their wallets where it hurts.

Story is from Israel JPost.

ISIS cuts fighters' salary in half amid financial hardship

New document released by the Treasury Ministry of ISIS in Raqqa reveals that ISIS has decided to cut the salaries of all its fighters in half due to the "exceptional circumstances" it witnesses.

A new document released in December by Bayt al-Mal, the Treasury Ministry of ISIS, in Raqqa, reveals that ISIS has decided to cut the salaries of all its fighters in half due to the "exceptional circumstances" ISIS has been witnessing.

The "exceptional circumstances" ISIS has been witnessing were not detailed in the document, however, they are likely related to the massive airstrikes launched by the international coalition against ISIS positions in Raqqa in December and the Iraqi campaign to liberate the city of Ramadi from ISIS' hold.

I've seen videos of people in interviews who joined ISIS stating they only joined because they were a job, and paid well.
Now they go and do this?

This is the end for them, well the start of their decline, if true.
People are gonna start deserting or lose moral if they aren't given what they are worth. ISIS was made off a sort of mercenary recruitment, and since people have been fighting people will always go to the highest bidder.

Wait, what? They are getting paid to fight their "holy" war? I guess this whole thing isn't about religion after all...it's about money and power...go figure.

Guess State Dept. Marie Harf's 'Jobs For Jihadis' program didn't work out so well.

How unfortunate;

layoffs and job loss are imminent; expect lawsuits and a rise in unemployment.

Wouldn't it be nice if these tuck fars turned on the higher up and they just destroyed themselves

One thing which ISIS really knows the best, is how to make cuts.

Isis trained killers may have to seek refugee status from Obama and immigrate to the U.S. now; no shortage of opportunity (or targets) for them here.

Don't worry, Obama will bail them out. And I hear the ISIS women are lobbying for equal pay.

Maybe they should get the 15/hour minimum wage plan.

Deep pockets doesn't mean there's anything left in them.
With crude below $30/brl they're getting tight with their own finances.
The Saudis support ISIS otherwise many of these people would stirring for insurrection against the Saudi Royals.
Safer to have them in Syria fighting somebody else.
Push comes to shove they will cough up the money, the Saudis can't afford for ISIS to fall apart and have the fighters come back home.
