Is it a good idea to stop the space program because the space shuttles are unsafe to use?

is essentially "unsafe" at best. No reason to stop it and admit defeat though. All we can do is learn from our mistakes, and strive to minimize the risks. We humans aren't ones to stop doing something just because it has risks....

What's life for if ya don't take chances.
It would be very boring!

I think they need to get some other rides to space other than the old space shuttles.

I think they already have other rides to space, but it's more like a secret they don't want everyone to know.

The space shuttle program is so far behind our actual technological capacity. Its all a big sham to manipulate us into thinking that we don't have a base on the far side of the moon. Think about it, the US wants complete control of space. How egocentric is that?
