Say what you will about the N.Korean regime or propaganda aimed at against it.

There's MORE worth there than what meets the eye. . . Or what many are lead to believe.

Daredevil investor eyes North Korea

James Passin, a hedge fund manager at New York-based Firebird Management, believes the nuclear-armed country sits on as much as 1 billion barrels of crude -- enough to make it as big a producer as Oklahoma. If the oil exists, he wants to help unlock it.

North Korea is newest frontier for a daredevil investor

Mr Passin is also wagering on distressed debt in the South Pacific.

North Korea Is Newest Frontier for a Daredevil Investor
“You have a country with 25 million people — young, highly disciplined, literate — and a strong military-industrial complex,” he said in an interview. “It’s possible that the early investors will be rewarded with potential for massive appreciation.”

*cough* North Korea May Have Two-Thirds of World’s Rare Earths *cough*

As the global economy takes a downturn, keep an eye on an unsuspecting rise.

No country for white men. You would want an Asian ambassador.

Somebody should tell this investor how ridiculously low oil is globally....wait on second thought they should offer a bridge to get to the oil at a steep discount.

That's great news. Just what the world needs - Glorious Nutjob will have more cash and his people will suffer more.

So an American investor is interested in filling his pocket with green by destabilizing the region and increasing a threat to the U.S. mainland. I guess he doesn't care about the consequences of generating millions or billions of dollars of cash for a tyrannical government who has an out of control dictator. All that income will surely go towards building Kim's military to wage war against South Korea and threaten the U.S. mainland.

I doubt the U.S. will allow it.

Where's Hilary and her 'bombs for democracy' when you need her?

The Kim dynasty needs to be dealt with before NK is opened up to the world for investment. Anyone who pours money in while the current regime is in power is complicit in crimes against humanity.
