As I said, their opposition to GMOs is economic.

As often, the Russians like to favour the solutions that guarantee them to retain their independence from private/foreign conglomerates.

Because Putin has been using them to exploit the Russian Right. The separatists in Donbass carry Dugin's Eurasianist banner.

And what for a banner does the Kiev affiliates do like to carry ?
Any explicit statement from Putin that he ever gave credit to these theories ?

Please do not project your hatred and paranoia on to me. I love Russians and their culture; it is Putin's Fascism I detest.

Ever dared to wonder why the Russians like Putin so much then ?
Who do you suggest instead ?

He poses with the Metropole in Church from time to time. He also poses with tigers, scuba equipment, horses...

And he pose a threat to american imperialism and gives a lesson to those who'd like to sound more catholic than the Pope.

I agree, the New Chronology is hilarious... but if enough Russians believed it, Putin would find a way to associate himself with it. Sadly, a lack of experience with democratic institutions has left the Russian public confused between legitimacy and mere popularity.

Putin does not shape-shift or follow the wind like a weather-vane. That's where most of its credit comes from atm. The other source being his slap-on-your-face statements.
Our actuality facts play also on his favour because Russia never compromised itself for foreign interests. And that, on the other hand, is precisely what is backfiring on the US atm.

, he is a hypocrite; vaccinations are mandatory in Russia.

I think you're in need of research skills
But I guess you'd call it Russia propaganda, not realizing that you're doing exactly the same thing

Vaccinations

There are 18 vaccine-preventable diseases in Russia and children can be vaccinated against 14 of them. However, there is not a standard programme of vaccination (vaktsinatsia / вакцинация) and most vaccinations are only recommended, not obligatory. Vaccination is not compulsory for children with allergies.

He wants Americans to be susceptible to disease

How so? Oh thats right he's got an unfair advantage marketing his natural food as GMO free.

Sound like you work for Big Pharma, I wont even bother getting into the lack of science behind vaccinations with you

have you even bothered looking at who pushed the Ukraine into a seperatist position? Thats right Monsanto yet again.

But its all a plot to attack the squeaky clean USA...tremble tremble.

When will anyone admit that the USA is a quasi fascist corporate enforcer - the rest of the Planet can see

www.mintpressnews.com...

World’s Largest Country, Russia, Bans GMO Food Crops
Victories are to be celebrated and for the future of healthy life on our planet we all can celebrate a beautiful victory. The world’s largest nation, the Russian Federation, whose landmass spans Eurasia from the Baltic and Ukraine on the west to Vladivostock and the Pacific on her east, has formally declared all commercial planting of Genetically Modified Organisms, GMOs, to be prohibited.
By New Eastern Outlook | October 5, 2015
The issue has been subject of a heated debate for some months inside Russia. In February 2014, just days prior to the US-orchestrated coup d’etat in Ukraine, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev created a national research project to obtain scientific information so the Government and Duma might make a decision on GMOs in Russia. Now a definitive decision has been made, and it goes against Monsanto and the US-led GMO cartel. We can say Russia’s crisis has concentrated minds on the essentials of life

Its interesting that 3 years ago even after having it explained to you that you didnt have to participate in a Forum, you insisted that it be shut down or renamed...your'e doing the same again here

"chemtrail woo"

the quote from SeaWorthy had to do with biological vectors - not chemtrails

whats your agenda here?

And it wouldnt have anything to do with the fact that once introduced cross pollination of Monsantos seeds would result in Russian farmers being sued out of existence? You do know Monsantos track record? Not hard to research - of course its economic and a superior natural product

CHEMICAL CONTRAILS IN THE SKY

TWO SPRAYING PROGRAMS: HIGH AND LOW

(a) THE HIGH-FLYING SPRAY PROGRAM Chemtrails are not contrails from commercial airplane traffic. Contrails are condensation trails formed when moisture from hot engine exhaust momentarily condenses into ice crystals, usually above 35,000 feet. Chemtrails occur around 22,000 feet, and they do not dissipate within 45 seconds as contrails usually do, according to Air Transport authorities. (However, genuine contrails over heavily trafficked areas do sometimes linger and nitrogen oxide and other jet engine pollutants can form extensive cloud cover over time.) Unlike normal contrails, chemtrail plumes are laid in parallel lines in grid patterns and telltale X's over towns, cities and remote rural areas. They spread out, and over hours coagulate into a dense droopy overcast. This is not a normal overcast. Often you will even see this being woven between regular cumulus clouds, and it drips and it weeps. Within 24 to 48 hours, people on the ground often flood emergency rooms with acute upper respiratory ailments, gastrointestinal problems, gushing nose bleeds, joint pain, and a dry, hacking cough that unlike flu, lasts for four or five weeks, and then often returns. These symptoms are characteristic of the mycoplasma infections found in some blood-tested chemtrail observers. We have positively identified many of these aircraft as unmarked KC-135 and KC-10 Airforce tankers. In early March, hundreds of KC-135 aircraft were grounded for a part to be replaced in the tail-section of the airplane, and spray activity decreased from 24, to just two locations across the United States. Spray activity climbed right back to previous levels as the planes returned to service the following week.

Etc, etc, etc.

So you deny that children in the USA are forcibly vaccinated? Your colours are really wearing out

en.wikipedia.org...

States in the U.S. mandate immunization, or obtaining exemption, before children enroll in public school. Exemptions are typically for people who have compromised immune systems, allergies to the components used in vaccinations, or strongly held objections. All states but California, West Virginia, and Mississippi allow religious exemptions, and fifteen states allow parents to cite personal, conscientious or philosophical objections.

You make it sound like it's done at gunpoint. Parents can opt out, just like in Russia, according to both your own sources.

No; cross pollination might result in infertile seed corn. That is a legitimate concern, but irrelevant as the OP is a [HOAX!]

I agree. All food we eat has been genetically modified. The difference is the methods and time scales we are dealing with. The real issues are more due to unknown effects on local ecology than anything.

And in Russia's case, economic. Agriculture is difficult enough in what's left of Russia, and their economy is in a shambles. The government does not want income from agriculture flowing out of the country to multinationals like Monsanto. If a Russian state owned corporation cooked up some GMO turnips you can bet that they would be selling like crazy.

That is quite a claim. Gmos are in fact dangerous. To the environment and the farmers. Not to mention there is serious concern about their effects on the gut because bacteria doesn't always no how to break them down.

Gmos are not inherently bad, our over use, greed, and lack of ecological care is very dangerous.

The purpose of GMOs is very questionable when the introduced modification is related to the resistance to a carcinogenic crop killer manufactured by the same company.
