Yeah, a medal makes up for the trauma of combat, Right.

And the realization later in life that one was too young and naive to realize what they were doing, how they were giving themselves to another to fight their battles for them and get used, taken advantage of and exploited and maybe even killed.

PRICELESS!.

Medals don't mean anything.

I guess they do to my Dad though, because he saved all of my dress greens and beret and junk from the trash when I got out.

I still have the impressive documents and stuff only to prove to people I did what I claim when they want to accuse me of lying about my service deeds.

I was a useful idiot and probably would still be considered one by many now if I only still cared at all.

As long as you don't try to profit from it.

Same as with the medal and ribbons, if you don't try to profit from it, it's okay. So says 9th Circuit Court.
