The nominations are for....
Worst Picture award.
Jamie Dornan for Worst Actor.
Dakota Johnson for Worst Actress.
Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson for Worst Screen Combo.
Sam Taylor-Johnson for Worst Director.
And finally Worst Screenplay.

Hopefully the film (which I haven't seen) cleans up at the awards and gets an armful of Razzies.

So much more fun that that other award love in.

I guess this does not bode too well for Academy Award nominations tomorrow.

I think it's gonna be a case of it being 'The little film that could'.

It should remembered as the soft core porn that went mainstream, not as an actual film as most understand it.

You can dress it up in big production value all you want, but it is what it is.

I actually saw a couple minutes of that... er, film... as it played on HBO in the background while I did important things (like roam the wasteland in Fallout 4) and just want to say ...

it sucked so bad and hard that it broke through the lips/ mouth/ digestive tract/ lower intestine/ toilet and ended up in another dimension where the denizens witnessed it and soundly executed it without a proper trial.

I read the trilogy because there was so much buzz about that film. It wasn't very good, there are better books of that genre out there.

I tried to watch that movie, it's just too artsy on a movie based off of a bad book. Don't forget it started off as Twilight fanfiction. A young adult series that had 4 books and didn't bother getting good until book 3.

Fun fact. It was actually someone's job to add pubic hair CGI style in some of the really stupid scenes. Imagine that on your resume!

I told my wife take the guys billions and power away and you are left with an abusive boyfriend movie featured on lifetime.

Funny thing is I have a friend whos brother is basically that Mr grey character minus the money and power and all the girls think of him as being creepy.

I agree with the awards it was awful in just about everything. My wife read all the books and also hated the movie.

I actually thought the sex scenes of Gray weren't too bad, just a bit repetitive (and she's flat as a 10 year old boy). I agree though, take away the money and you're left with a sex criminal.

A better mainstream movie for the subject is actually a comedy, believe it or not. Exit to Eden, with Dana Delaney. This was really more like two different films happening at once (which makes sense, because the whole cop angle wasn't part of the book, but done only for the movie). Though it was pretty funny that Rosie O'Donnel's guy ended up painting her house.
